I would not recommend anyone let a family member live here. My mother had a stroke a few days ago while living here. Most people know that when one has a stroke they aren't always able to do things like pressing a life alert button, calling out or whatever. If she had been able to use her life alert device it would've gone unnoticed because the one she was issued by this place did not work. She brought it to their attention several times. My mother laid in the floor for up to 3 days covered in her own excrement until she was found and rushed to the hospital. When I spoke to a person in management it was thrown in my face that its "independent living", I get that but 3 days? Their website says 24/7 emergency response and that their residents are safe and secure here. Is that one week a year? Next I was told they have a team of corporate lawyers when i tried to make this person aware of their shortcomings, with that kind of incompetence I'm sure they need a team of attorneys.
But not once during the conversation was I asked how my mother was doing.
These residents spend nearly $2000 a month for what? A room the size of most bathrooms, nonexistent emergency response, light fixtures that blink on and off, maintenance that never shows up, or maybe management whose only concern is MONEY and not the residents' well being? I don't think anyone wants any of that, our elderly deserve better. So please don't let your family members live here, if they are there now start checking on them, ask questions, investigate.better yet move them out.
