Holocaust Museum Houston reviews
15A very important museum to visit, well arranged. Especially important for youngsters to learn from who are so far removed from tragedies of the past.
Incredible. I visited the museum several years ago, but today was the first time since they did renovations. The exhibits are incredible. Be prepared emotionally as the Holocaust is a hard topic. The information is presented in a respectful manner and very educational.
Quite a place, seeing the past and reading some survivors story and what they done, and reading other tragedys though I will lie it's depressing seeing it as well, The holocaust is a interesting thing to learn about but saddening it did happen in the first place
Incredible to see it be fully bilingual now (the only bilingual Holocaust museum in the country)! So worth the $15 if you're not a student or under 18. I love that now that they renovated/expanded it, it not only teaches the struggles and pain but also highlights the resilience and the people who took a stand!
Genuinely appreciate the museum & how it demonstrates what occurred during the Holocaust & the impact it has & continues to have on society. Staff is knowledgeable & courteous
Great museum on the history of the Holocaust. If you go plan a whole day if you want to see everything. So much history in there.
Walk through history and hear from the voices of the past. This is an amazing and beautiful museum. If you are in the area, you must stop by and listen to history told in an absolutely captivating manner.
It was a very moving experience. They gave an award to a most deserved individual and the presentation was very meaningful.
It was very nice, very clean, the man at desk was so helpful and had time to explain the areas we would be going through. Although it is a bad time in history it is good to know so that we dont repeat it. (most museums free on thursdays)
A hard and harsh reality, but it has been done in a very respectful way. Everyone should go at least once. I say that only because it is very hard for me personally to process. I have taken students in the past and they have been impacted. It is one thing to learn about something and another to see the effects directly. This is an event we must never forget.
I do not know, how I describes so much fear when taking my mind to those moments that each person lived, thinking that we still live it but in different times and characters.
Really love the museum. Learned a lot of the holocaust history. It makes me think why it happened. Beside the evil force, sometimes we fail to stand up for others who can't stand up for themselves. Like what the Bible says the greatest condiments are to serve God and serve others.
OUTSTANDING occasion where one of our Survivor Ruth Steinfeld was presented with the Medaille de la Legion d'Honneur, the highest civilian medal of France.
Very well put together collection. Showed the chronological order as well as personal stories from survivors definitely recommend for teens+ it can be a little graphic so may not be great for younger kids
Very informative, smooth layout from beginning to end with friendly staff available to assist you or answer any questions. We attended this museum as a gateway to start our journey into the Holocaust and WWII for our 4th and 8th grade history lessons. I definitely recommend while in Houston.
