My first experience wasn’t a very good one. Walked into a facility we’ve NEVER been to and it smelt like urine. If I wasn’t in a rush to leave town I would’ve turned around and found a different facility. The young ladies at the front never greeted us or even welcomed us in. As my boyfriend was doing paperwork I informed them that my dog has extreme anxiety when it comes to a new environment and new people. As I’m telling them this she is trying to take my dog to the back without even saying hello to the her. The young lady had no affection toward the dog and seemed like she didn’t even want to be around them. Aside from that the older man was very polite and asked multiple questions about my baby. They followed her medication and food instructions as said.

I've been taking my dog here for many years. The staff is always super nice and they really seem to care about animals!

Home Away From Home is the only place I trust when boarding my dogs. I know they will be taken care of. Puts my mind at ease

It was the first time boarding our cat Winnie. We had no idea how she would behave. Winnie would not eat her food unless it was spoon fed to her! The staff loved her and spoon fed her for nine days! The staff is very loving! Highly recommend! Many thanks to the staff for taking exceptional care of our fur baby.

This is the first time I've ever taken my dogs here, and I have taken my dogs to a LOT of kennels. These people care about your dogs. If I'm away from home and need someone to trust to take care of my guys, these are the guys I will trust from now on. I could not be happier with entrusting my buddies with anyone else. My dogs actually pull to go into this place. It’s not cheap but my dogs deserve it. Great doggy care.

Love this place. They also stock and sell Natures Select, which is a fabulous dog high grade dog food I have been using for 20 years.

This is our go-to pet services center. The staff there are wonderful and though we don’t bring our dogs in frequently, they still know and remember them, which gives fantastic comfort when leaving your furry family members for just a day, or even an extended stay. They’ll be in great hands from a staff that clearly loves your pets as much as you do.

I have boarded my dogs with HAFH for several years now. Before the pandemic, I traveled quite often and this truly was my dogs’ home away from home. They always went in wagging their tails and excitedly greeted the staff, and they always came home with their baths and their nails trimmed as happy as when they went in. My Great Dane even became a celebrity of sorts there with her playful silliness. The team always sent pictures of my girl and her antics. That my dogs were always excited to go, and equally happy when they left assured me that they received the best of care.

Recently though, I had an experience that really brings home the depth of care that HAFH provides. I was out of town for a funeral, and unfortunately my elderly Doberman took a turn for the worse. Michelle immediately notified me the next morning of his condition. She kept me updated every 30 minutes on his condition. The team went so far beyond my expectations in keeping him clean as he couldn’t walk. They even went across town to my veterinarian’s office to pick up medication that might help his condition until I could get home. Interestingly, despite the emergency, the vet’s office wouldn’t even let me speak to the doctor despite the emergency and instead required an appointment.

Unfortunately, my Jack didn’t make it but at nearly 14 he had one great life for a Doberman. He passed peacefully at home with me and I’m grateful for the time we had together. I’m also grateful beyond what words can express to Michelle and the team at HAFH for the love and compassion they showed both Jack and me through all of this, the care that they provided him in his final days, the things they did for me and Jack that I would have never expected any kennel to do, and that one of Jack’s final memories was the great time he always had at HAFH.

God Bless all of you for everything that you did through this and for showing a true love, passion and commitment to the animals that mean so much in our lives. My dogs and I are so truly fortunate to have such loving, caring people in our lives. I can’t imagine entrusting my dogs to anyone but you after this experience. My deepest, heartfelt thanks and appreciation for everything.

Sweet people work there and were really good about following up when food was low with our pets. I would note our white husky came home with lots of grass burs not sure where she got them but something to note. Would we go here again? Yes. They are reasonable for the money and service too.
