Homewood Suites by Hilton Houston/Katy Mills Mall

Our experience here was lovely. Nice spacious room, clean, comfy bed. The staff was friendly as well.

Pros: upscale location

Cons: almost everything else

-thin walls
-extremely noisy a/c unit next to beds
-no coffee at 8am (weekday, low traffic in dining room) breakfast. Both mornings we stayed. Had to wait for more. No plates. Low inventory.
-No real blanket on bed (one sheet, one blanket that looked like a dust ruffle, one bedspread the thickness of a sheet)
-rude to the point of disrespectful from desk associate

Upon check-in, we were told that our room wasn't ready and that it would probably be another half an hour. We stood there with our luggage and the man behind the counter picked up the phone and acted as that we were dismissed after telling us this. There was no friendliness, no indication of where we should wait, if we should wait, whether they would hold our luggage while we waited, etc. There was us standing in front of him while he took a phone call and ignored us. So we headed to the truck, and I got a notification from the Hilton app that our room was ready and that my digital key was ready. We turned around and walked right past him without any management and went to our room. That was an unsettlingly rude first experience at this hotel. It is mind-blowing that Hilton would tie its name to this.

Booking a two bedroom suite, I did not realize that both bedrooms were in one room, and that it was separate from the living area. No big deal, except there were two air conditioning situations, and the one in the bedroom was so noisy that you could not sleep through it. It was extremely loud. So we ended up turning the AC unit in the living area down low, and letting it cool the bedroom. Would have been even more of an issue if we actually had blankets, which we did not. The beds were not equipped with anything that anyone would call a proper blanket.

The walls were so thin that we could hear the conversations from the room next to us. Word for word, even our kids were talking about listening to their conversations.

Those mornings that we stayed I went down to get coffee, and there was no coffee. I had to let someone know that there was no coffee, and then wait for them to bring out the coffee. This literally happened to both mornings. The breakfast area was not well stocked, most of the items were out, and I had to find someone to let them know that they were out of plates. This was both mornings, So it wasn't a one-off thing.

This felt like a cheap motel. I think motel 6 might have higher standards than this particular hotel. It was really unfortunate, and I am very shocked that Hilton would tie its name to this in any capacity.

Definitely look around if you're looking for a hotel. Katy Mills is a very nice area, and there are a lot of beautiful hotels. This is not one of them.

This place is kid friendly and a perfect little get away spot. I would recommend to friends and family. I stayed for one night abs will return to stay again soon!

Nice clean rooms, good breakfast, nice indoor pool.walking distance to restaurants and large mall. People are friendly but they are very NON-responsive. They messed up our room reservations, then after fixing them they messed up the rate and while they said they would fix it they have not and will not return calls. While we were there they have our room to someone else that tried to enter our room (thankfully while we where there) and told them to go back to the front desk. I saw that party in the hall latter and they told me they were on there 4th room as the prior three they were give were occupied. Make sure you bolt your door or someone may walk into your room while you are there. It appears the front desk does not know who is staying where.

We tried to check in 4 times. Final time we were told to pay the total amount in cash for the full stay or we could pay for 1 night. We already added our credit card to the reservation weeks before and did not have 500 on hand to pay cash for the full visit. Basically told us to pay cash now or leave. We chose leave.

This was ine of the best staycations ever. The hotel was spotless and smelled sooo good. The service and treatment was exceptional. I highly recommend this location for your stay.

Can hear casual conversation in the next room. Not individual words, but enough to keep you awake. Clearly some very poor design choices in the construction. I can even clearly hear snoring in the next room over, and I can tell that he's not even that heavy of a snorer.

Also, the WiFi is awful. It cut out every 5-15 minutes during Teams calls, and I eventually gave up and just called in with my phone.

1. Sofa need cleaning, 2.commode to low, 3. Bed sheet did not fit on mattress 4. Sofa bed was awful, 5. Heat did not work in living/ kitchen area was blowing cold air we wanted heat. Suppose to be a 3 star hotel but I think other wise. (lower)

This was wedding weekend (12/9 & 10/22). Check in was Great. You have Amazing Front Desk Employees. My Suite was Wonderful. Very Clean and Comfortable. Had a Homey Feeling. Very Quiet as Well. I LOVED The Pillows. I Slept So Soundly. 1st Time in a Long Time. Close to the Wedding Venue and Convenience in Shopping Areas. Breakfast was Totally Delicious. I Had An Outstanding Stay. I think I Need to visit Katy a Bit More Often and I will Do My Staycations Here in your Hotel. Check out was Fast and Easy and the Housekeeping Personnel were so Very Nice, Helpful and very polite. Beware - The rooms have thin walls and you can clearly hear other rooms and we had hard time sleeping with neighbors noise. The swimming pool doesn't function as advertised in the hotel website. We booked this hotel because of indoor pool and high reviews. The hotel is understaffed and front desk have no clue about what they are doing. This hotel doesn't live upto 4+ review score or Hilton standards. We wish we booked nearby hotel for our 3 night stay.

Staying for 3 weeks. Staff is very great. Room is clean and comfortable. Big shower, big bed, nice kitchen. Cable tv and wifi.

Still a great place to stay. The traffic can be a bit too much at Christmas but a great location. Staff is friendly.

PET FRIENDLY HOTEL, NOTHING AGAINST IT.
PROBLEM IS THAT THEY DONT HAVE SPECIAL ROOMS FOR PEOPLE TRAVELING WITH PETS.
ANY ROOM CAN ACCOMODATE A PET WITH THEIR GUEST.
MY ROOM WAS FULL OF HAIR EVERYWHERE, IM ALLERGIC TO ANIMAL HAIR.
PILLOWS WERE TERRIBLE!
REAL BAD EXPERIENCE. DONT RECOMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.
WENT FOR DAUGHTERS WEDDING, ALSO LEFT PRESENTS FOR OUR HOTEL GUESTS, THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO GIVE THEM TO EVERY GUEST ATTENDING AT CHECK IN, THEY DIDNT!

The overall stay was not pleasant. Our mobile key did not work at all. The hard card had to be reprogrammed four times. Horrible ordor throughout hotel. Bedding was dirty with looks to be blood stains. Vent in bathroom didn't work. We were suppose to stay 11 nights but we couldn't take it anymore.
