Don’t waste your time for service @ this dealership. They are not honest and more so very expensive compared to other dealership.

This is the worst dealership in Houston, and america. Please don't ever believe anything they tell you in this dealership, they lie to take your money and once they get the money, they manipulate you to ensure you can't return the vehicle. The worst part is the management in this location is worst, they don't care on how you feel as a customer. Please I advise don't believe what ever their sale rep tell you and don't hope on their management to help you. I bought a car since first week of September, I specifically told the sales rep mr dio, it was for export and asked if the tilted was available, he said yes, the title was on hand. I paid cash for Toyota Highlander 2020 cash. Only for them to tell the DMV would send it to me, I waited for a month, nothing came, I called DMV and they said they had nothing. I went back to the dealership they insisted they sent it, only for me to discover, I was sold a car with no tilte at all, they took my money, I can't return the car, till today I don't HV the title, I cant export, I can't register. This dealership played me, lied to me, just to take my money. I went to the so called gm mr musa, he was sacastic, he even told me, there is nothing he can do, that it's the sale rep should hv told me no tilte, sarcastically, he even stop picking my calls, no body updating me, I hv a business reputation ruined, and asked what can the dealership do for me, he said nothing. I said, they lied to me to get my money, did not have the title, I pray I get this title, I would never step feet on any Honda dealership. So please verify any information they give you in this dealership, if possible ask to sight documents before transacting anything with them. They don't care about how customers feels or how your business is affected by their actions.

My review was exceptional when we first purchased the car 3 years ago, however, the free lifetime oil changes has become a problem since they sold the business, Now I am stuck with having to pay for something that is listed in my contract as a free service.which is a breach of contract. We were told today that the new owners purchased debt, so they can no longer honor the free oil change commitment. I am truly upset and will now take my business elsewhere!

I would not recommend ANYONE purchase a vehicle or do business at Honda Cars of Katy. They do not honor their contractual agreements. I purchased a brand new Honda Civic EX-L for $35,000 here in 2015 that came with lifetime free oil changes. Since then, I have completed 100% of my required service here (except tires).

However, Honda Cars of Katy has decided to no longer honor this contractually negotiated service, claiming they “sold” the business. They gave me NO notice and said I am a “new” customer after SIX years.

They have the same name out front but THIS IS NOT THE SAME HONDA CARS OF KATY. My experience is detailed below.

On Friday, November 19,2021, I called to schedule my service B1 which is an oil change and tire rotation. I always call first to get a quote for any other service due. I also mentioned the free oil change service. The woman who took my appointment said my oil change would be free as always.

I drove 20 miles from Houston here Saturday, November 20,2021, to the dealership. When I arrived, the service person tells me that John Eagle sold the dealership and they are no longer honoring the free lifetime oil changes. I spoke to the Express Service Manager and the General Manager who both confirmed.

They WASTED my time and gas but worse they do not value me as a customer. They told me I’m a “new customer” after YEARS of paying for services here. My car is paid off and I was considering buying another Honda but after this experience I will never spend another dime with Honda. They DO NOT honor their word or value their customers.

Look elsewhere for a new or used vehicle because they will not honor what you bargained and paid for.

Do your homework - Service Dept will try to rip you off. I had an issue with brakes and brought it in first thing in the morning before they opened. Service Advisor TB said he would call me with the estimate. He did not call. I went at the end in at the end of the day and TB had left. Estimate he left with another Service Advisor was for almost $2,000. I asked what the issue was and she said that I had to talk to TB. I called the next day and left a message. No return call. I called a few days later and left a message. Again no return call. I took the car to Easy Honda (Gessner & I-10). They diagnosed the problem, gave me a call and told me I had to come in another day while they ordered parts. Total price including diagnosis was less than $200.00 - 1/10th the estimate of Honda of Katy. Beware. If you want quality service and very reasonable prices go a few more miles into Houston and take it to Easy Honda. By the way, Easy Honda also offer free Uber drop-off and pick-up service. Honda Cars of Katy - nothing. Also take note that the ratings are either 1 star or 5 star.hmmm.makes you wonder

I bought Honda Civic in this dealership with lifetime oil change program. I paid the amount while buying the new Honda Civic. Now when I went to service yesterday, they told that you won’t get the benefits. You need to pay the amount for oil change. That is totally unfair.

I also try to contact the Honda car of Katy. While buying the car they were very nice and we signed the oil change program and paid. Don’t belive this showroom. They are telling one thing and doing different. I won’t recommend this dealership for buying any new cars.

If I could gave them 0 star, I would. These people all care about is to sell you dealer packages, not even a bit about customer service. I bought a new car on 11/17/2021. It came with a new LoJack device. I paid for it. The device has never worked. I went back and forth between the dealer and LoJack. No one is taking responsibilty to get the problem resolved. Each points finger at each other. Totally incompetent. Also read clasely the sales agreement and the numbers, they tried on me with a "mistake" that was several hundred higher than we agreed. If I had not reviewed the numbers carefully, I would have been cheated.

This HONDA location is the definition of FRAUD. I purchased a new car along with a $400 oil package (oil changes for 5 years/60,000 miles). Yesterday I went to change my oil and the rude manager there (Shana) said they don't offer this deal anymore (!) and I would have to pay. They stole $400 from me without any explanation. I complained through email and nobody even got back to me to respond to my complaint. Stay away from this HONDA.it is a FRAUD.

Extremely slow service. Stood in line 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. An oil change costs $90 bucks. Was told it would take 45 min and it actually took 1.5 hours, not surprised, as most of the workers seems to just be standing there. I think one was even napping with his head down. Wasted my whole day off. Looks like all kids working with no responsible adult to supervise.

I had bad experince with this dealership. Never had it with Honda anywhere else, this was for 1st time. Staff is friendly and nice with customers. Mechanics are bad. I brought two cars for 30K service and I also complaned about oil leaking a bit. Spend about $1400. In the first car was smell of coolant after servise. I opened hood at home and found lots of coolant arround radiator. Engine is leaking a little bit as it was before. It means nobody cares about what customer is asking for. The 2nd car started to smoke after 30K service in 100 yrds away from service place (next to CVS). I came back, opened hood and found a lot of spillage under hood. Mess. Careless job. Smoke. I brought clean and well care car and don't even know if they put coolant in radiator, not in transmission. Maybe they are learning from TikTok or youtube, God knows. Mechanic cleaned it up with apologies and run the car with hood up on the parking lot to dry it but I don't know if the stick is strong enough to keep the hood up if car is phisically moving.
I would not recommend anyone to do service in this place.

Purchased my honda pilot here 2012 with free lifetime oil change, went there this morning but they said that they wont cover it anymore, they said they we’re bought hy another company and their funds already exuasted to cover the service, when you bought a company it’s your responsibility to cover whatever existing issues of that company. You did not eve notify your customers. Your customer service really sucks. Never ever buy a car from this dealer anymore.

Paying $300 up front for lifetime oil changes is absolutely worth it! These guys are great and I don’t feel like I’m being tricked into something I don’t need!

September 2021- since my last post Honda cars of Katy has taken great care of my car, unfortunately the dealership has been recently bought, and the new owner has decided not to honor the service contract that I purchased for the life of my car. Now my free service will cost me 56 dollars everytime.
The issue is the new owners, did not reach out or give a courtesy call.

Do not buy anything from Honda Cars of SHADY. Once you close, the service ends. They will not answer the phone, and if they do you will be stuck in an endless loop of automated menus, holds, and deadend voicemail. John Eagle and Spring Branch Honda are legitimate, if you want a Honda, you are way better off driving over there. Six months after I purchased a CR/V and I can't even get them on the phone to find out if the license plates are in yet.

Marisol in the sales reception end and whoever the general operator is (they don't even speak, they just transfer you to some other extension, the main memu, or a random voicemail before you have even said what you're calling about) will not help you. Having to drive over to the dealer to ask a simple question or speak to a manager because the people answering the phone won't let you speak to anyone.

They don't want to offer service beyond payment collection. AVOID.

Well just bought my car and have brought in 2 times and the car wash is not working again! I have bought several Honda’s and used to live by the one off 290 and never had issues. Always got a full service oil change with car wash. That’s why when they offered the maintenance package I was happy to add it to my purchase price. Well the Katy location is most definitely not the 290 location. Having regrets of adding this package. Hopefully I’m not sitting here 2 hours again on a weekday just for a 15 minute oil change again!

I bought my 2016 Honda Civic from Honda Cars of Katy back in 2017. When I purchased the vehicles one of the promotions was that I would get free oil changes for 5 years. It’s not an incredibly expensive cost to the dealership but it’s a nice gesture to get customers to bring their cars to the dealerships shop when it needs maintenance. I brought my car in today for an oil change and transmission fluid replacement. I told the rep that was helping me that I had purchased the vehicle from the dealership and that the oil change should be free. He told me that the promotion I had was offered by the old dealership and that a new company had bought Honda Cars of Katy and they weren’t honoring the promotion that had been agreed upon at the time of purchase. While I understand that the new company wasn’t the one that offered the promotion I think it is poor customer service to not honor the promotion, especially since it end for me in March of 2022. If I’m looking to get a new vehicle it won’t be from Honda Cars of Katy.

This place is great! I had a really successful experience with getting what I was looking for! Kristopher was so clutch in getting me in a really awesome car! He worked with me and found the best possible outcome for my situation. 10/10 customer service! Highly recommend!

Honda cars of Katy do not honor their contracts. I purchased a brand new car and I was given free oil changes and now they’re not honoring it anymore.

I bought a brand new Honda Minivan in 2014 from this place. No issues, was a smooth transaction, everything good.until last week. I got the lifetime oil changes for "free" (included in the cost of my car). This is the only place we have used for the life of the vehicle. I called to make an oil change appointment because we are going on a trip in a few weeks. We are told that the company who paid for that deal is no longer paying (since June 2021) so they will give us a reduced rate for the oil change, but its not free anymore as promised. How about no. How about I never buy a car from this dealership again and not recommend anyone else do so. Don't offer "lifetime" deals if you can't honor them. And new management shouldn't takeover if they can't honor the previous deals made without repercussions from existing customers. I love Honda, but when it comes time to get a new one, I'll find the highest rated dealership in Houston and go there.

Edit: thanks for your bs number you provided. I’ve called it 4+ times today. No answer, no named voicemail. You may think it saves face for you in the review, but it only makes it worse. These quick responses from the dealership are just fake news delivered to an empty phone #. There is nothing being offered, no fixing the situation…. They screwed over customers. Check other reviews….
