I thought the food was very good and came with large portions. I got the fried chicken sandwich which was very tasty and the sweet potato fries were delicious

Great bar food and setting, very rustic. Seemed popiular with locals which is always a good sign.

Solid choice for a classic Texas experience. Cool building, huge outdoor seating area with a groovy little gazebo that is the stage. I was playing here and sometimes I forget to photograph places when I'm in gig mode. The brisket salad was really good and my wife had tasty sandwich. Efficient staff that knows how to keep big crowds of people happy! It's a great time and you should check it out

Great place. Atmosphere, setting, food, drinks, prices, and music, all great. Music often starts at 7, but you should get there at 5: 30 to quickly get a good table. That’s okay, though, you won’t go broke drinking and snacking until the music starts. Plus, it gives you a chance to put down your phone and have a conversation. Also, it’s dog-friendly if you have a friendly dog.

Loved this place - best time out in a long time. Good food and drinks, live music and great company.

Had a great time on a Wednesday night! Sat out on the patio.nice breeze plus they had fans going. The big plus was some great live music! And the food was delicious!

A friend told us that while in Fredericksburg, we had to try a jalapeño margarita at Hondo’s on Main. What a great suggestion. We also tried another of their specialties, a pineapple margarita. The outside seating was great with the focus on live entertainment under a gazebo. Large dance area! Can’t comment on the food as we popped in at 9 pm for just the margaritas. Be sure to check days open as well as hours because we were there during the week and nothing is consistently open every day or much past 10 pm.

Nice place. We went for lunch. I had brisket mac and cheese. It was awesome! Loved the Mac and cheese with the cilantro on it. Friendly very helpful staff.

This place is a joke. Refused to serve me as my ID was one day expired because my birthday was THE DAY before. However they were serving patrons liquor before noon on Sunday therefore breaking TABC’s law without any issues.

Love this place! Atmosphere and food is the bomb! Fajita Lada is outstanding with bursting flavor!

Used to be my favorite place in Fredericksburg. It has completely changed and we won't be back. Burgers were dry and awful and the once wonderful margaritas tasted like a bottled mix. The worst thing was the local friendly vibe is gone. All the employees were unhappy to say the least, and the woman we had to check in with was downright rude. We were not allowed to sit and eat our food because we didn't get on the list that madame check-in failed to tell us about. We had to take our food out and leave $30 of drinks behind after standing in line 30 minutes to order, then waiting another 30 for food prep. I have always loved Hondo's. It was my go-to place when I hit Fredericksburg. It's sudden demise is heartbreaking.

The food was exactly what we needed and hoped for. Delicious, filling, and plentiful. The real highlight though was the outdoor space, which has tons of seating (including large picnic tables), shade, and fans, to keep you cooler on warmer days. …and then there’s the music. Whether you make it here for live music or not, you’re going to feel like you’re in real Texas-Texas.

Great place to dine. Covid-19 ordering, place order at the bar and pick- up at the kitchen. Eat and leave. Great atmosphere and music in the evening. Order drinks at the bar.

Mediocre food. Employees would rather sit/stand around chatting it up or looking at their phones than make sure their guests are taken care of and expect you to tip for them just to literally push a few buttons to input your order. They make you do the rest of the work. Took almost 45 min for them to make a sandwich and fries and a bowl of brisket Mac and cheese (place maybe had 10-15 other people there). Won’t return and i suggest if you like good service don’t go period.
