Honduras Consulate, McAllen TX

Acabo de salir del consulado de Honduras aquí de McAllen, Texas. Verdaderamente quiero decirles que todas las personas que trabajan aquí son unas personas tan amables. Aparte de ser amables, son personas que tratan de ayudarte en todo. Ellos se ponen en los zapatos de todos los hondureños y ayudan. Valió la pena manejar desde Houston hasta aquí! Estoy muy satisfecha con el servicio y la amabilidad. Por eso les he dado cinco estrellas. Gracias!

I just left the Honduran consulate here in McAllen, Texas. I really want to tell you that the people who work here are such nice and very kind. Apart from being kind, they are people who try to help you with everything. They put themselves in your shoes, and help you in everything. It was worth the drive from Houston to here! I am very satisfied with the service and kindness. That is why I have given them five stars. Thank you!

Came in all the way from Houston for a passport renewal and got my new one in 20 minutes! Definitely worth the long drive. Super nice and friendly service.

How is it that the phones are either always busy or are not in working order? Is there another phone number that I can call?

I have been trying since last year to get ahold of the Embassy in Atlanta (nearest to us), Chicago, Miami, Washington. Their phones are disconnected, out of service.
Even the pages of Cancillería de Honduras and Relaciones Exteriores don't work. Where could I find update, verifiable and accurate information if a Peruvian citizen needs visa as a tourist? Although I got ahold the phone numbers of these two entities, both have opposite answers. More confusing.
Still we made an appointment to go to Atlanta, but we never got the confirmation, we never got a DETAILED information what we need to bring.
We contacted the Embassy in McAllen. Their phone works, the gentleman on the line told us to call back, we did. They had the information. At the same time, my cousin (the Peruvian citizen) also got reliable answers from the Consulate of Honduras un Peru.
Thank you for the service we needed. You saved us time and money.
I hope the systems work efficiently because it is pitiful that only Facebook pages for the other consulates are the way to contact but we never get straight answers.
