Hooten's Hardware, Emory TX

One of the best places to go for your hardware needs. We have purchased tillers, lawnmowers, lumber, and much more. I think the best part is the plumbing section. We have been able to find more items for plumbing emergencies at Hooten's that the Big Box retailers didn't even carry! Oh, and it's so easy to get a pole and meter for new construction! Go here first, you won't regret it!

Best selection of the hard find parts and tools in the state of Texas. They have everything you need at a reasonable price.

They usually have whatever it is you need but because of no competition they are outrageous on their prices

They have almost everything you need without having to drive a long way to get it. I prefer to support local unless I am after big quantities such as lumber. Great customer service always.

Sent a FFL transfer item to Hooten's from an online vendor. Usually use a local pawn shop but this vendor already had Hooten's license and I didn't have to fiddle with getting the pawn shops FFL info over and processed for my order. When I went to pickup the item I arrived 12 minutes before closing, not releasing they closed at 5. Was told that I would have to come back another day. Came back the next day filled out the paperwork and then had to pay $40 for the transfer (the going rate is $25-30 in the area.) So needless to say will not be using Hooten's for future FFL transfers and will go back to the local pawn shop. Also my total time in the store less about 10 mintues with me having to wait on a few customers ahead of me, totally could have been in and out in less than 12 minutes the day before. Won't stop using Hooten's for other things just due to one bad experience with years of good customer service. But wanted to let anyone know that is considering using them as their FFL they are a little higher than most dealers in the area.

Love having the convenience locally. A little pricey on some things. Usually has what your looking for. Nice clean store. Plenty of helpful employees. Something for everyone, good gift selection for that last minute gift. Enjoy browsing just to see all they do have. Some stuff for Rv ers. Bought plants and priced as HD or Lowes. My husband is a frequent shopper.

Great little gem in Emory. They have a lot of merchandise. Love their home goods and their shoes and purses for ladies.friendly staff, and reasonable prices.

Hooten's hardware is more than just nuts and bolts. This place has just about everything except groceries! And the restrooms are kept clean too!

Let me start by saying I was very impressed by their inventory and I met the owner Lance who was extremely nice and helpful. I talked for a few minutes and explained what I was trying to build. He told me to talk to his fab shop manager and they could help me fab up some equipment I was needing help with. A few days later I come in to pick up my material that I ordered and talk to fabrication manager about project. Before I got 2 words out he told me he wasn’t interested and would pass due to libality reasons which I completely understand. What fusterated me was how he didn’t even give me a chance to explain what I needed built or explain anything about it. They have a very capable welding/Fabrication shop but they are very quick to turn down work. I’d definitely look elsewhere if your needing welding or fabrication work done.
