Hornitos Méxican Food Restaurant & Bar reviews
15Lady with a tattoo on her neck at the bar was by herself in the morning, and her request came in to be seated after I wasAlready waiting to order food. And then she immediately served him ahead of me in line in front of me. At his table.
Great $6.99 lunch special! Food was typical Mexican food and good. Hits the spot and doesn’t break the bank. Salsa was homemade as delicious. Chips appeared premade.
Service was fine and very cool atmosphere, however the food that I got was hardly good. The beans aren’t the best, and that rice was super plain and dry. Not even flavored. My Tia makes such extraordinary rice, it’s wild how plain restaurants have theirs. As for the actual meal, it was still a big let down. I got the beef enchiladas. It’s such a pity that it’s like chili instead of just some ground beef. I would not recommend anyone getting those from here.
I'm not sure what was going on with the staff, but 3 of us went to breakfast on a Monday. No salsa, had to ask for corn tortillas twice. Music blaring as if they didn't want our business and we were the only ones in the restaurant. It definitely is a first time, last time for me.
Past by this place for years and decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. The food was pretty good considering it's right off a highway.
Great easy going Tex-Mex place. Kind of place we need more of, no frills, just a really easy, inexpensive night out.
Always Delicious! The Bandera Enchilada Platter with Rice and Charro Beans and The Fish Tacos Rice and Black Beans.
Very friendly and local. Too many Tex Mex places are little more than fast food. Hornitos puts love and style into their food. I like to relax there over a long breakfast or just hang out after lunch.
Order enchiladas plate it was cold need to make sure it's hot and have flavor in the whole plate hot sauce needs work. So work on it
Food is alright and service is kind. Very old school decor and could use an interior update but overall enjoyable.
Good place for mexican food, the service was good, went there for diner, waiting time for the food average, handmade tortillas are a plus.
Love this mom and pop joint. The food is great! We stopped here after landing in Austin! I recommend it if you're heading North. Quick highway access. Friendly staff.
Service was outstanding! Great hidden gem! Margaritas are strong, but good. Food was very well priced, and the quality was sooo amazing! Guacamole and salsa yum yum! Doesn't look like much from the outside, but definitely worth the trip if you are in Austin.
Gentleman that works the register is always super friendly! Great food, always done super quick.
When you see the building you might think twice! But don’t be fooled. This is excellent food and great margaritas. It’s definitely 5 Stars and will be eating there again.
