Hotel Granduca, Houston TX

We had my in law's 50th anniversary there. The chef's food was amazing. The waiters where absolutely wonderful

This spot is fantastic. The interior condition of the rooms was impressive. Definitely a good spot for honey-moons. I like the knight on display on the first floor as well.

Came for high tea. Service was very bad. Lady was hardly at service. Had been waiting for ever.

I came here for brunch. Very upscale hotel in uptown park. The staff is very professional. They offer complimentary valet. The brunch menu was very limited and on the more expensive end.

My husband and I went here on an in-town getaway and it did not disappoint. The hotel feels very luxurious- lush decor, a very comfortable bed, beautiful pool and dining areas. The service was very attentive. We ordered room service and the food was great. There’s a well-equipped gym. All-in-all, would highly recommend.

Like the hotel.have stayed there a couple of times before, but this time, in the morning, prior to check out when I tried to shower, the shower did not work. It was close to checkout so I packed up and when I mentioned it to the desk when leaving she said she would call maintenance, but no apology or any indication that she cared in the least that i paid 6 or 7 hundred for a room without a working shower. I called the next day to let them know i am aware that things happen, but the situation could have been handled better and was assured that someone would call me back. Still waiting for that call back.

We were able to check-in a bit earlier, which was nice since we had nowhere else to go. Staff was friendly, especially the bartender Aybar. He was personal and knowledgeable about his beverages. The restaurant Alba was top notch and will definitely be going back. The waitresses were kind and explained everything to us. Very intimate setting which is perfect for an anniversary like us.

Disliked · Our room was nice at the end of the hallway but the bathroom was a huge disappointment. The shower head was so rusted that only half of the water spat out. Then the second day we woke up showered and when we were done we started to smell rotten eggs. Went in the bathroom and was hit with the overwhelming smell of sewer water. Soon it overtook the whole room. We had to pack up and leave before checkout time because we couldn't breathe. Not what we expected for over $400 a night!

I didn't stay here but can only imagine the rooms would be fantastic! We had a day conference in one of their banquet rooms. Very nice place. Hotel staff were amazing!

Had afternoon tea with a friend, and I really enjoyed the sandwiches / savory items. The clotted cream served with the scones was excellent. Both teas that I tried were good (black), and I prefer the Granduca setting over other tea rooms or hotels because it is quiet, and our conversation did not compete with music and loud voices trying to occupy open echoing spaces.

Went here for breakfast with my sister & niece, we dined poolside. Our food was freshly prepared as we ordered & visually appetizing. Staff were courteous & polite. Rich Italian inspired setting beginning at the entrance and continued throughout. Next visit will be for brunch. Enjoyed Everything!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I made reservations for my husband birthday at Alba Ristorante. The attention to detail, atmosphere and cuisine was spectacular! If you are looking for something unique, elegant and high end this is the place you have been dreaming. There is nothing like this in Houston! Thank you for the greatest birthday dinner we could have asked for! You guys have exceeded all expectations!

The chaff at this location is the worst person I have met and work with, he is so arrogant, bad person and full of s.he is really dirty and the way he cooks is not the best. He is not clean and pee on the kitchen because he don't want to walk to restroom don't eat and don't go to this hotel where they treat people bad, the chef is racist and horrible attitude

Fancy for sure but not 100% worth it in my opinion. If you do go, the two dishes that are worth the time and money are the squid ink pasta and lamb

Had lunch outside for my birthday-the food was very good. Tracy was our server-she was attentive and very nice.
Highly recommend.

I’ve love to eat at hotel Granduca, however, I just noticed they have tea time which is advertised on instagram from 1-4pm and the closing time of the tea room at 5pm but when I called to reserve it was just from 1-2pm, tea time is supposed to be in the late afternoon after lunch not during lunch time.

Chef is top notch. Food is powerfully amazing and refined to all senses one would expect from fine dining. Staff is super friendly as well. Fantastic food, presentation and service. Probably one of the best restaurants I've been to in many years. I highly recommended.

I forgot to mention that the receptionist said she couldn’t give me a receipt upon check out and that my prepayment was my receipt. Again, what the heck?

There is no word to describe how wonderful it was to spend time here and have a nice chat with a great friend over a cup of tea and delicious sweets and savory bites.
The staff were super nice and attentive. The overall ambiance was beautiful and calming.

Forgot to take photos of the room and we didn’t eat in the restaurant. Room was nice and cleaned daily. Be sure to look at the knights daily as the hand signal change ;)
