House of Blues Dallas reviews
17Great little venue. Seating for those of us who don’t like to stand. But the timing of events is just awful. “Doors open at 7: 00, show starts at 8: 00. ” - With the little caveat that tonight they brought on a horrific opener by the name of Allysha Joy who began to spout politics on top of the fact that she apparently knows only two chords. Then, it took almost 30 minutes to set up the sound for the actual talent, which clearly should have been taken care of first. Over an hour of just uselessness waiting for a show to start. Could have sat at the bar across the street drinking reasonably priced drinks while watching the football games until after 9: 00. Won’t bother coming back.
I saw a show in the smaller Cambridge room. Site lines and sound were decent in there. Drink prices were very high; pretty typical for house of blues venues. Beer selection also was not great.
It’s pretty ridiculous to have half of the venue taken up by 20 empty “VIP” tables. The entire middle section of the venue was empty space that could have been utilized. People had to stand behind pillars and at the back of the venue by the loud and too well lit bar. Really ruined what would have been a great show.
Venue was in a nice location where I could access all day parking in a garage about 2/3 blocks away for $6/day. Security was helpful and kind and provided water to concert goers who had been waiting outside. Beautiful & spacious inside with full bars & snacks. The sound was great, better than the house of blues in Houston. 5 stars all around!
Venue is nice but drinks are way overpriced. Cocktail servings are very small too. Almost $20 a drink, i$18 dollars a beer plus tip, it's too much.
Great venue, but 15 bucks for a beer 20 for a shot and rude staff on top of it. There are better venues.
Great spot for a girls night out. Love the jazz and soul. Manager made sure customer service was great.
Great Drinks, Energy, and plenty of parking surrounding too. Excellent Venue for concerts too, anywhere you stand is a good view.
Tonight’s event is rescheduled last minute, and we flew in from out of state. Oh but HOB has a no refund policy. Thanks for being a classy organization, will not buy tickets to another show at any of their venues. ES!
The layout is not amenable to a large crowd on the floor (GA standing). It is congested, hard to move around in, and offers few standing spots that actually feel usable with good sight lines. The flow of the floor area is totally unworkable, mostly because of the large area under the overhang being sectioned off for reserved tables, which go mostly unused. The staff are also not very friendly. HOB Dallas has become one of my least favorite venues in Dallas.
Most awesome atmosphere ever sooo close! Plus seeing corey taylor dream come true! Will be coming back asap!
As a venue for the concert I attend it left a lot to be desired and was just okay. It was difficult to see the anything from the back, the monitors were too small for the size of the crowd. The sound quality also wasn’t the best. The staff were awesome and helpful and the bathrooms were really clean and bar service was smooth, as was entry. They had elevators available as well.
I have seen some amazing shows here in the main hall and in the Cambridge room. It is worth it to upgrade to a table for the shows because you get a waitress and a seat and the balcony seats are also worth the price especially for the bigger shows
Well, this place is rather boring and overpriced when there are no shows happening here. We were the only 3 people in the bar on a Saturday night at 10pm…
Great venue to see your favorite performers. Close view to the stage, good sounding room, nice vibes. Saw THE CULT years back, just went to CANNONS, awesome!
Valet park.
No worries.
Take money for drinks.
Music was awesome, sound fantastic.
