House of Pies reviews
15Houston staple. I used to go when I was in college, And now I get to go with my family. It's good to know that they have at least two sugar-free options, but still haven't found anything I don't like.
I just love the place. Chicken tender salad is my favor dish. Carrot cake. Speechless. Go and find out by yourself.
The service is normally good. The breakfast food is good, the other food is usually fine, but we really go there for their great deserts.
Place is showing its age as is the menu. Wait staff took the order and delivered the food nothing else no refills offered.
The place seemed nice but the Hispanic older lady that was seating people at the entrance was super rude and unwelcoming. They should train their employees better and definitely not put such a rude, disrespectful & unprofessional person upfront greeting customers. Didn’t even want to eat here after encountering this horrible person. Went to a better restaurant with a good and professional customer service.
Breakfast day 2, The Original House of Pies, Waffle Platter, Belgian Waffle, two eggs over easy, and bacon. I also got a slice of Sugar-Free Apple pie to go for later.
Food wasnt all that! Been here before and was really good, but not this go round. Em had Monte Cristo, it was served without the raspberry sauce. Was told they didnt have any and to use jelly on the table.
My Pot Pie was very dry and had no flavor at all.
It was expensive fir the size and quality.
Very disappointed.
I haven't had a bad experience at House of Pies at this location or the Kirby location. The grilled fish is the best. Always get it for dinner. The breakfast is also very good here. I would invite anyone to come and try out this place. Btw, their pies are excellent.
Got the Coconut Creme pie and it was like a slice of heaven. Service could be improved more, but the food made up for it.
Them pies are scrumptious as heck. Didn’t have anything else. But still. Good pies. Will come in again.
Many years ago uptill now the quality of food is still high very high but the service is poor very poor
Picked up a whole lemon icebox pie for dessert at the hotel while visiting Houston. The pie was velvety cool, and whipped cream balanced the sweetness. The whole family enjoyed this pie. Bought a lemon meringue the next day because this one was so good. Customer service was great too!
The location is a carbon copy of the Kirby location, same menu and taste. Better parking than Kirby too.
You can’t have the full Houston experience without stopping at the House of Pies at least once. Old school feel with booths, classic menus, great coffee and fantastic desserts. Pecan, pecan fudge and coconut cream are our personal favorites. Get them to go or sit and enjoy a slice with a piping hot cup of coffee with a dear friend. We stop here almost every time we’re near Westheimer.
The best cheesecake I've ever tasted, sorry for the candle haha I used it as an emergency
