Housing Authority reviews
4Unorganized. I sent in paperwork for my renewal. Months later they asked for check stubs, so I sent MORE. I get a call the new year saying they need my checks. I told her I delivered them before Christmas. She lets me know she’s been out and hasn’t received anything. What I don’t understand is, I sent check stubs in when asked, they don’t try to process your paperwork til months later then the check stubs are old and you have to turn in more. Place is very unorganized.
Trying to find a home called the Housing Authority on 1611 N Robison Rd I was told I cant get a list unless my information be transferred first by the receptionist. My question is why should participants be required to transfer all information to relocate before seeing the options of homes/units available?
I decided to rejoin the housing program after leaving a very abusive and unhealthy relationship. Since being back my 8 year old autistic child has been burnt by hot water by another resident and I've been attacked physically 2 times YET no one from the main office has acknowledged this EVEN AFTER BEING ALERTED ABOUT ALL OF THIS the main office has yet to reach out to my family to resolve this or even get an understanding about this. Yet they will contact me for other non important things I don't feel safe on my property and I feel as if Patrick the guy over the housing authority has something personal against me there is nothing reallyprofessional about this place they are a bit rude and wont even look at you let alone acknowledge you while speaking to you. My opinion and advice to any single mother who thinks pursuing government assist will some how make things easier on you and your family JUST DONT strive for better try to get a degree under your belt or a good job because once on any government assistant they make it hard if not impossible for you to elevate in life if you get a job on the program go to school while on the program DO ANYTHING POSITIVE WITH YOURSELF WHILE ON THIS PROGRAM the housing authorities will make things harder on you they will evict you.
