Houston Arboretum & Nature Center reviews
18This little treasure green lung space is a one-of-a-kind approach to nature in the middle of uptown, and you will think you can't disconnect, but you are wrong! Not only you will disconnect from your daily routine, but you can also breathe in and out, cleanse your saturated mind, and give the gift of being present to yourself every sunrise or any sunset.
Love the.peaceful atmosphere. It is wonderful to see the butterflies, turtles and rabbits. The trails give you various opportunities to experience the wonders of nature.
Quiet and beautiful place. My kids liked the playground which is quite old but functional. I liked wide hiking trails where I could walk with a stroller.
Watched a concert for Day of the Dead and it was amazing! Very intimate crowd and singers killed it!
Amazing escape from the city hustle and bustle. It's serene and tranquil, you can feel it in the air, every breath in ur inhaling pure oxygen.
They included a play area for kids and also an indoor area with some aquariums housing turtles, snakes and frogs.
Loved the different animal coats on display, really gave an insight to what some animal fur feels like, esp the ones like raccoons and skunks which we notice in the neighborhood.
The arboretum itself is free, but it's paid parking except Thursdays. Came here in November and enjoyed my walk here. Tons of butterflies. Dog friendly as well.
Playground, plenty of different hiking and walkways with wheelchair accessible boardwalks/ramps/side walks. Nature center has taxiderm or stuffed animals, live animals in habitats, nature themed activities and displays you can touch
OMG, the Houston Arboretum is absolutely amazing! It's a nature lover's paradise. The trails are so serene and picturesque, surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful flowers. And guess what? I was lucky enough to spot an adorable armadillo during my visit! It was such a unique and memorable experience. Whether you're into birdwatching, hiking, or just enjoying the tranquility of nature, the Houston Arboretum is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The parking in the lot here is very easy you can pay through the mobile app or at a pay station. You definitely don't want to miss it!
This park has been beautifully restored and is an excellent location to use for my clients bridal, couples and senior photos.
An oasis in the city! So nice to be able to experience nature. Staff are always eager to help and are patient with my kids. Highly recommend getting the membership.
I'm pretty sure this place is amazing to walk through when we have enough rain to keep trees and flowers alive. Even so, we had a nice time cruising through its paths.
Great place to go walk and enjoy nature with your kids and their discovery room is great when the staff can tell your kids with everything else.
Super beautiful place vegetation and fauna we managed to see an armadillo up close and we did an incredible photo session for my daughter, clean and organized, everything is in its place, I invite everyone who visits it to please take care of this place
Hidden natural gem in Houston. Great place to unwind and walk in the nature. Awesome location for family and maternity shootings!
We always love an arboretum visit! Have been many times! Great spot for a hot day because there is shade and an indoor nature center to explore and cool off! All three of my kids have a blast for different reasons. We love the water pump and rope web to climb on, and we love all the critters inside! Parking is $5 all day (pay by machine or app) free on Thursdays!
Visit here as often as possible. The upgrades are finally done all throughout, and it’s really nice. It’s a calm, safe from animals trail, settled right next to the 610 freeway. But, once you’re inside the complex, you wouldn’t know it one bit. It’s amazing, and we’ll laid out. Cool places to rent for things like weddings and educational events, and they’re always advertising special events open to the public.
Truck got broken into and wallet stolen out of console… apparently this is a common occurrence here
Beautiful place to walk around and take children to. Be prepared to walk, so bring decent walking shoes. Lots of nature around. They have a kids center where they can see different animals (turtles, frogs, lizards.) My daughter enjoys their summer camps too. She said its among her favorites camps.
