3 My insurance company was offering $16,300 for my car, I negotiated it there myself from $15,000, but I knew it still wasn't enough to replace our car. I was asking for $17,000.
Brittney helped us by giving us a preliminary estimate of $19,000-$20,000 for free over the phone. I took this back to insurance and they refused to move the price AT ALL. So per my insurance contract I hired Houston Auto Appraisers for $550 to fight on my behalf.
They had me send pictures of my car, asked me a few simple questions, and handled all communication with adjusters. It was good to know they handled his while we were on vacation.
Eventually they came back to tell me that they met in the middle with both appraisers at $19,300. WOW! That's even more than what I was asking insurance initially. They only charged me $550 for their service and it was well worth it!
Everybody I dealt with at Houston Auto Appraisers was also very kind, cool and respectful. Just what I needed after dealing with very difficult insurance adjusters.
Our car was in great condition, low miles, one owner, no accidents, clean and no mechanical issues. It's definitely worth a lot more than what instance was offering.
