Houston Community College - Katy Campus

The parking lot is very insecure, I have stolen the Catalizer of the car and the security of HCCS is not responsible, there is no security. So those who go to classes on the Katy campus must be pending.

The admission department in Katy HCC is very hard to work with. The man manager eager to show his power so much that he elevate the requirement of documents.

I was there to apply for in-state tuitions.
I have my 12 months pay stubs (on List A) and property ownership (on List B) with me to prove my 12 months residency. As a non-citizen I also need to provide eligibility of immigrant status (on List C). For that I have me and my spouse’s valid I-797 dated start few months ago.
The male manager reviewed my current I-797 then he said they need an OLD DATE I-797 prove my resident for 12 months which has already been proved by my List A&B documents and is not mentioned and not required on List C AT ALL. It’s ridiculers and sadly that the “manager” don’t even understand I-797 as a immigration document can not prove residency but eligibility of stay. One can still have their I-797 renewed even they are out of the country.

When being questioned the difference of requirement between him and the official paper He seems felt challenged and got aggressive. He kept telling me he is the boss. He refused any further discussion about the requirement.

I feel so sorry for the people who has to encounter with this person. The admission office should be there to help potential student to get on rack but sadly some of them are just creating problem to feel himself big.

Admission office lost my original international transcript. After my complaints the admission office asked me to email them my concern with copy of transcript, but no one bothered to reply or call me back.
Very unprofessional stuff.

Is HCC still using this building? Because i went there today and there wasn't a single soul or car there. Its completely closed.

School is all about money.
They send you around and their requirements to change resident status from out of state to in state are ridiculous. They required student to must live in a home or apt with lease and utility bills or banks statement with change of address. They probably doesn’t know that bank will not change your address unless you have Texas DL.
Bottom line is they just want to get more money, under no special circumstances even if you are homeless, live in hotel or share room you can’t use it as proof of residency.

It's all about money not the education or your future. The staff is rude and unprofessional.

The financial aid support is very rude and bad and didnt help me out. In this location I need to hire real professionals instead of ratchet people. If you need help don't come over here.

I'm going to miss the old campus but I cant wait for the new campus. TLDR go to HCC you'll thank me later. RIP Old Campus 1979-2022

Be aware! We enroll for an English class. They took our money and they had no teacher for us. They noticed that the first day of school, after we went waiting there for several hours. That happened on March and I have been there several times and they have no answers for us. Just that we need to wait until there is a spot. By the way, they never answer the phone. You have to go to get anything. Awful!

Horrible staff in this campus. I call for get more information then the girl who pick up the phone said wait for me check then hang me up.

This school should come with free therapy! Guaranteed to drive a monk crazy. If you want to get anything done, you have to stay on hold and make 10 phone calls, email professors and chairman, and be put on hold. Not to mention, no one knows what’s going on. Thank god the tuition is cheap. Can’t wait to be done with this hole.

I like this campus way better than the ones in Houston! I don't care about staffs, but the professors are absolutely amazing!

Staff is VERY RUDE.my first experience was receiving smart remarks, attitude and just no respect.i received absolutely no help. To think they actually want people to pay to attend this place. To call this location a educational establishment is a joke. I emailed a person who works here only to be referred to another person, to be referred to another person and only to be referred back to the first person.i call it the HCC merry go round.i wasted 6 months on this place hoping they'd get with the program and they haven't. Nobody seems to care about the student here.im going to do what i should have done in the first place, go to LONESTAR!
