Houston Dental Assistant School (HDAS), Webster TX

I'm currently enrolled at HDAS Clear Lake and love my instructors Mendy and Elizabeth. Mendy is informative and very helpful during both lab and lecture. She is also dedicated to help all of us find jobs even before graduation! I look forward to coming to school every Saturday and think I am getting the best education in the Houston area through HDAS. I would recommend this school to anybody looking to become a dental assistant!

I would never deter someone for wanting to better themselves. But as a mature student who also has a Bachelors Degree I feel that it’s my responsibility to state the truth

The program itself is great. It really prepares you for a new career. But the instructor Mendy is a little dry and lacks passion to educate. I understand that we are all adults, and responsible for our education.her approach is dated. But her snide and sometimes catty approach was unnecessary.

FYI: YouTube is a great resource I was able to find materials to suite my learning style. Take control of your education. There are videos from dentist and licensed DAs who can describe these procedures in simple terms.

Also, ignore what doesn’t serve you. I reminded myself that I might have an employer like Mendy. So it would be best to practice how to maintain my composure now rather than in a doctors office with patients

I would say when going into this school keep in mind that she’s not a teacher but an instructor l. She will give you the tools but you have to figure out how to used them.

Eric who deals with billing is a little unorganized. At one time he mentioned I owed additional funding but when I checked the online portal I was actually owed money. So I totally understand how the previous students felt cheated or manipulated. I would advice you to keep note of our own payments, and always check the online portal.

Lastly, we were told at the end of the process it would take 2-3 weeks to recover certificate needed for registration. After a month, no one in my class received the document. (we all still keep in contact with one another) I reached out via email and Mendy stater that she would mail them in a week. When I inquired the reason for the delay. She responded with an email sending the certificate to us. Which I felt was VERY rude and dismissive.

Absolutely loved it! It’s fast paced, informative, and super fun! 10/10 recommend

HDAS is a wonderful school. The instructors are friendly and very knowledgeable. It is an environment that allows for hands on learning and where questions are welcomed and answered with clarity.

I love going to HDAS clear lake! My instructors, Mendy and Elizabeth, are so thorough and seem to really care about us soaking up all of the knowledge we can. I am very pleased with the people in my group and their willingness to learn as well. I have no doubt that I will pass and get a job easily. I highly recommend this school!

I love going to this school! I was able to receive all of the information I needed before starting. Our instructors are wonderful and have amazing personalities. Very affordable with payment plan options! I’m confident HDAS will be the jumpstart I need entering the Dental Industry. From day one they’ve been telling us everything we need to know before starting our careers as well as helping with job placement.

Make sure you get put in the group YOU WANT then make sure you’re not put in a group with 18 year old children and or men/women your age who cannot speak up for themselves or act like children themselves! Also there are hidden fees!
