Houston Mennonite Church

The Houston Vision church that is located in this place is a Korean ethnic church. This group is very dedicated to the ministry for the needed community, such as homeless people and is truly evengelical.

We went to listen to an author Medea Benjamin supposedly talk about peace in Ukraine she turned out to be fact bender. She retaliated when challenged and became disrespectful of veterans. She pushed all the Russian propaganda verbatim.

Church facilities are good and they put out a nice looking spread but the salami made my friend sick.

But the biggest gripe I had were the church members were to a person rude and uncomfortable around the non members. I had to ask the pastor why he was so apprehensive and avoiding me? His hand shake was weak when I walked up to thank him for holding the event

I told him when I go to black churches I feel welcomed so he gave me a weak hug.

It is shameful that church members especially the elders are so cold.

The transient pastor replied. Mostly excuses, denials and did not remember our encounter.

I know many of the Houston Peace Justice Center folks who were supposedly running the show. The pastor had been talking to just a few people and seemed apprehensive.

I expect better from a church and it's pastor. Hope church elders get a real pastor.

A subject like Russian aggression should not have a debate. Medea Benjamin opinions are not facts. People need to understand facts are not flexible nor social media a source of plausible denials about the destruction of Ukraine.
