I’m not the one to write bad reviews, but when it comes to humans health, I will, just to make sure everyone gets the treatment they deserve. I would like to start off that I understand what understaffing is and being under construction. But the treatment that was provided was absolutely horrible. Brought my father in who had open heart surgery 2 months ago for pain that he was feeling. Got here at 3 AM and was in the waiting room until 12: 00 because they were “monitoring “him. 12: 00 came around and they decided it was time for him to get transferred into a hallway bed with other patients that had absolutely none of the same conditions. They claimed he went through several test that he did not go through. Nurses kept saying different things and we left with unanswered questions. Understaffing is understandable but this is unacceptable.

The doctors and nurses were fantastic. It ended up being a very long day at the ER but the staff could not have been better taking care of my newborn and I.

I really don’t understand what they are thinking at the emergency room. You go in the back get your vitals see the doctor they send you back out in the waiting room to wait on test results. With iv in your arm so if they had to give you meds through the Iv they could.
Then the nurse or the doctor comes out and speaks to you in front of everybody about what’s going on with you it is a HIPAA violation for them to be talking to the patient with everybody else around. Very disappointed in the er at willow Brook.

I hate to leave a bad review as my visit was actually pretty good aside from what went wrong. The nurses and doctors were all working very hard and efficiently to get patients in and out. My visit was only a couple hours long and I left feeling much better. However, I am currently breastfeeding and I made sure to let everyone who was working on me know that. The lady who checked me in literally wrote in my report that I was currently nursing. But I still made sure that everything they gave me was safe. I was given a dosing cup with 3 pills in it (all steroids) and told to take it. I asked the lady who gave them to me prior to actually taking them if they were safe to breastfeed with and she told me “yes. ” So I took them. Then 30 minutes later as I’m getting discharged she comes up to me and says that they are actually not safe to breastfeed with and I have to pump and dump for 24 hours. I am infuriated. I specifically asked prior to taking them if they were safe to which she replied “yes” even though she wasn’t sure. That is unacceptable. My baby will not take a bottle or any formula. I strictly breastfeed and I have no back up supply, pump, or formula as he will not take a bottle. So now I’m dealing with a screaming kid who is clearly hungry and refuses to eat. I’m in tears because it’s breaking my heart that I can’t nurse him. He is rsv positive right now and he’s already a little dehydrated (I’ve taken him to the doctor to confirm) and now he can’t eat. Had she told me they weren’t safe I wouldn’t have taken them and asked for a different alternative. Nurses and doctors do not know everyone’s story so it’s not okay to give false information if you’re not sure. I would like a phone number of someone I can call to report this. What if I had actually left already and came to feed my baby? What would have happened to him? UNACCEPTABLE!

I went to Willowbrook Methodist Willowbrook ER because I was having sudden extreme pain on Saturday, and my blood pressure shot up dangerously high. I was in the waiting room for 4 hours and never got into a room or saw the doctor. No one took my medical history. But the police had criminals in handcuffs and they were taken in right away and given treatment. I saw them leaving cleaned up and smiling, feeling all better. But the front desk kept telling me that I had to wait longer. I eventually just went home without any diagnosis or treatment, because I’d rather suffer in bed than in a waiting room.

Also as soon as you get there, they tell you that they are going to draw your blood. But what they actually do is put an IV in your arm, and then they leave it loose and send you to the waiting room. I closed my eyes so I didn’t know they were putting in an IV. I thought it was just drawing blood to test. In the waiting room, everyone was there with IVs hanging out of their arms. I can’t imagine that is hygienic or safe. They didn’t call anyone to go to the patient rooms because, as they told us much later, they didn’t have any beds. I saw people leaving with the IV still in their arm. After 4 hours of being miserable, and no other solution in sight, I wanted to go home, so I asked them to remove my IV. They rudely argued and put up a fight because they didn’t want to remove it and were refusing to do so, but I stood there and refused to get out of their way until they removed it.

I’m staying away from Methodist Willowbrook from now on, and recommend others do as well.

I hesitated going because of the poor reviews. I went at 3: 00 AM because I was in so much pain. There were wheelchairs at the door for me to use. Check-in was quick because I was already in the system.
I was called quickly for initial assessment. I had a short wait to see the doctor. Another short wait for meds and crutches and then discharge. They seemed streamlined. Everyone was kind and caring.
I only wish that there was some type of valet at this time. I had to drive myself and I was having difficulty walking.
I would recommend them.

I just had the best experience here at HM E/R. They’ve completely revamped how business is done in the ER and it’s fantastic. The Staff, Nurses, and Dr. ’s were incredibly attentive. I was greeted, checked in and saw a physician within 20 minutes of my arrival. I arrived at 11: 30ish, and almost out at 1PM with a solid diagnosis. I’d recommend this ER to my fam and friends.

My son woke up from his sleep having trouble breathing & we rushed to Methodist ER & it was flooded with people and with no urgency to help us I searched up another nearby ER, signature care ER near champions on 1960, we got immediate care there for my baby, no wait time, & their staff was amazing

This is the most uncaring and understaffed ER I’ve ever been at. Front desk nurses have zero compassion-if you are at an ER you are pretty sick! Wait times 7 hours. Needs to be SHUT DOWN

Avoid this hospital at all cost the wait time in the ER is beyond crazy even with a few people in ER less than 8 wait time over 8 hours to see a doctor. If you can wait go to you PCP if not choose another hospital.

Came to the ER at 12 noon and still here at 11pm that’s 11 hours and counting. It’s unacceptable. Once these people get your payment they are in absolute no rush to provide service for you. Then the nurses want to get an attitude with you when you ask for an update. Finally I just went up to the desk and asked for a refund and they said the person that took your payment isn’t here so we can’t do it. 100% disgraceful Hospital! I wouldn’t recommend this ER to my worst enemy. Huge scam

A 6 hour wait in the er waiting room is unacceptable and a 2 hour treatment window afterwards in the back is ridiculous. I was there for a total of 8 hours and left with the exact same symptoms as when I came in. No improvement. I went to an urgent care the next day and my issue was fixed in an hour. This er really is a joke and I will never come here again. Save yourself the trip and go anywhere else!

This part of the hospital needs an overhaul. Waiting for 6+ hrs is unreasonable when sent to the ER by the doctor. There are other ER clinics around that there is no wait. Was recently there and was ready to leave when asked to have the IV to be taken out when I was finally seen. Got there at 3pm left 9: 30 pm. Sad otherwise it's a good hospital.

Wait time is horrible, tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but no. Insanely ridiculous of a wait time at their ER

It's absolutely horrible. Staff sits around watching YouTube and FB rather than helping patients. Nothing is clean, I've seen cleaner gas station bathrooms. Took over 6 hours to be seen by any of the staff, and another 3 waiting for a room. There is no incident or injury that could ever get me to go back to this hospital. It should be shut down for incompetence.
