I absolutely LOVE the sauce pit but when I advise you to NOT utilize the online ordering option, take my word! Apparently I’m the fool for trying three times and they never have what I’ve ordered and paid for. Just drive up there and see what’s left to avoid headaches.

Great vegan BBQ! Delicious! The card machine was not working. Fortunately I had cash from my gig the night before. I wish they had more than one table for folks to have a spot to eat. But overall this food slaps.

Ordered online and was able to park on the street right in front of the food truck and pick up my food. This food truck is located on Almeda, which is a pretty busy street, so depending on what’s going on in the city, you may find it difficult to find parking. I ordered the smoked links plate with bbq baked beans and potato salad, but I was told upon arrival that they were out of potato salad. I ordered the brussels sprouts as my alternative side and was sent on my way with my food shortly after.

The food was good. The baked beans are a little sweet, which I enjoyed. The brussel sprouts have a smokey flavor. I feel the links gave off smoked sausage vibes for the most part. Overall, the food was decent. I’m not a big fan of vegan food, but this place is worth a try. A little bit on the pricey side but that seems to be consistent with vegan food in Houston.

It took a long time for the food to come, but when it came it was worth it. The food was delicious. 10/10 on everything. We had the Pit Mac, Chopped Sandwich, and the burrito with a side of mac n cheese and beans

All I’m going to say is they are selling $5 burgers for $15! It was bland, cold, cheese is $2 & no fries…. $15 for the most little burger

The links were really good! They had the same flavor of the BBQ sausage I grew up with. The chopped beef sandwich was pretty good. Their sides were ok, but nothing special. Overall, I'd definitely come back for more of their links!

I decided to stop by the Houston Sauce Pit after a family outing, and I'm glad I did. I'm always looking for new meatless options on the go. I decided to do takeout since seating was limited. I ordered the Trill Nachos, Brussel Sprouts, and Mac & Cheese. The nachos and brussel sprouts were absolutely delicious! The Mac & Cheese wasn't my fave. I think I just needed more cheese sauce. The wait time wasn't too long, considering a number of people walked up right before me. While waiting, we were offered spring water. I did a quick taste test of everything while in the car while it was still hot, and I was not disappointed. The overall experience was amazing! I'll definitely be back!

I was disappointed today! I ordered the vegan sausage plate and my sausage was a little burnt. The potato salad was just mashed potatoes without much of anything else in them and the beans were ok and there was no corn again.

Not a fan. Food didn’t taste good. Tacos with the “meat “ bad barley there. Mostly just tortillas. Mac n cheese was taste less.would not recommend.

I ordered a Veef BBQ sandwich and two sides (mac & cheese and baked beans) today. The sandwich bun had mold on the top bun and bottom bun. I was trying to give this place another try since last time they ran out of food and couldn't fulfill my online order (had to request a refund from Ubereats). But the mold on the bun is unacceptable.

I ordered through Uber eats. When I received my order I was missing my baked potato and my link plate was wrong, I asked for potato salad and got the Mac n cheese. Definitely won’t be ordering again.

This was my first time at Houston Sauce Pit and it did not disappoint. Yes its 107 degrees in H-Town but that didn't stop the flow. I was able to pickup my purchase and enjoy a good Ole lunch. I will definitely be back! The food was tasty and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

I wanted to like this because I love Mo’Better Brews. This was my first time ordering. I may have messed up by ordering delivery BUT…I ordered the brisket and mac and I was really disappointed. The Mac wasn’t cooked all the way and it was dry as hell. The sauce on the brisket was good but I did not care for this at all. I don’t think I’ll be trying again. It came it 20 minutes, I live close by. That was a plus but I didn’t make up for me feeling like I wasted $30.

Last week I ordered food online from this company. I arrived 10 mins after the order was supposed to be ready but when I got there they hadn’t even started. I checked my food before I left to find out that I only had one patty instead of two like it stated on the menu. When I told the person at the register they told me their menu was wrong online and I would have to pay another $8. I stated, it wasn’t my fault their menu was wrong and that they should honor their menu. She went to go get someone else (I assume a manager or owner) and he started off by telling me that ordering online “was my first mistake” as they have to keep looking at the computer to see if they have an order. Then he goes on to re-state the menu was wrong and they instead of paying $16 I would have to pay $24. Then he said, I could get a refund if I wanted it so I just got a refund. As someone who has worked as a business advisor for 20 years, I couldn’t understand how throwing away the food and refunding my money made more sense than honoring the price on the menu and potentially having a customer for life. The customer service was definitely poor and I can’t even tell you what the food was like.

Was visiting Houston and visited on Aug 8 evening wanting to try a vegan place. But it was a huge let down. The worker didn't speak English at all could barely communicate, service was non existent, didn't seem to care at all about the order or customer service. Body language said it all.

Main thing we were looking for was out of stock. Elote was out. No drinks, no lemonade. Had to go to gas station for a drink. Elote was the main reason that borught us here but out of stock and not updated on internet. We should have left then.

Macaroni was very dry and under cooked. It was semi hard. Definitely rush job. Not enough sauce or flavors.

If it wasn't food truck or if we didn't get it to go, would have definitely asked for her to remake it and asked for a refund.

Overall $50 spent for 2 people without even drinks. Extremely over priced for the quantity and quality of food you get for vegan places in Houston area. During our stay we tried couple others much higher quality Vegan places with much better service and food for almost half the price.

No free parking either so if you park in paid lot its another $10 just to park. Definitely not worth the price

Highly recommend trying different place.
