Hula Hut reviews
16Great location with views of lake Austin -especially the outdoor seating. Food and service are average IMO.
Sam is the man at the bar to see. Attentive, quick service. Ran after us when we left the place having left a cell phone behind. Next time in town we will revisit this place
It is so relaxing to sit by the water and enjoy lunch and a cold drink. That is about the best thing i can say about what was once a favorite place of mine. The food was nothing special, tasted like frozen food bought in bulk and fried. Dough on some fried items not cooked through and served gummy. The rest rooms were filthy and the foul smell of dead mice permeated the air. Oh the standards have slipped so far I will sadly never be back.
A great place over the lake. Went there for lunch. The food was ok but we went there for the atmosphere.
Great place. Being just beside the lake, their ambience is beautiful. Food is good too. Service is nice. I wish they had more vegetarian options though.
So the food was good, but it did take long getting our food and drinks, we ended canceling our 2nd round of drinks.way too long! They also had inside closed, and we had everyone sit outside, it was very hot! We were celebrating a bday, so she wasn't too happy
Polynesian-Texmex. Consistently great food since 1997. Something for everyone. Great drinks and bonus.dining on a pier ovet the river with and a view. Best mango margaritas and the best tres leches cake I have ever had. You won't be disappointed.
Best place ever! The hostess were very helpful they got us a table for 9 in record time and the waiter was the best took really good care of all of us. The food was delicious I will be back thank you!
Beautiful setting and cute inside, we went during happy hour. They serve free chips with salsa which was a plus.
Ordered a couple of appetizers and drinks. The food was decent nothing extra special. I specifically wanted a mojito so ordered a strawberry one and to tell you the truth it was pretty bad. I have had much better ones elsewhere. My friend did enjoy his Mai Tai. Overall, a good place to come to enjoy the view and sit outside. I wouldn't be buying another mojito here anytime soon.
Service was good.
Will be back to hang out as happy hour prices were great.
I never tried fried avocado before I definitely recommend anyone to try it, is really good, the Chicken Chile Relleno is delicious. Everything is really good.
We were visiting from Minnesota and heard this was a great spot for Happy Hour on the water. Getting seated took time, service was slow, we used the bathroom located upstairs in the bar. This was one of the worst smelling bathrooms I’ve visited. Additionally there was no soap or paper towels so my daughter and I opted to use the Men’s room. Once seated it took over 10 mins to get any service it was annoying. Our server was Austin, he arrived and was apologetic. He brought waters and got beverages out pretty quick. Service once he started was top notch. Austin and the food plus the sunset is why I am giving the 5 star. The bathroom needs attention BAD.
Today's experience was good. Hostess could have been a little bit nicer, professional and more energetic to welcome cuatomers. Everything else was super.
Bbq baby back ribs and fries was delicious! Frozen strawberry/mango margarita was good! Good service and just 25 mins wait for a table.
Great patio to take advantage of the nice weather. Crowded on the weekend but wait times not unbearable.
Sad to write this review since we’d been coming to eat here for over ten years! We loved everything about it but lately something has gone wrong. Service was rude and the food was not only brought out staggered by about 15min but it was not good - served cold.
This is a cool place to hang out and enjoy the views of the water. The service was meh. The food was okay leaning towards good. I ordered a quesadilla and liked that the tortilla was hand made. I liked the Haleakalada drink. Their take on a Piña Colada. Best advise I can give you if you go is just save you the headache from searching for parking and valet your car for about $7. Parking is limited.
