Hung Fong Chinese Restaurant, San Antonio TX

Ordered the kung pow chicken. I have had it here many times, but today it was not good. I think they may have a new cook or something. I have eaten here many times in the past so i can tell you its a good place. Just not today.

A San Antonio classic. The food is still exceptional and great service. We even got complimentary 2022 calendars upon departure.

My family has been going here for at least 40 years. The food tastes the same and has always been great. It's a big plate of delicious nostalgia for me each time I visit. This is one of the places we go for our family celebrations. Absolutely historic restaurant that shows why it's been here for so long every visit. Go crazy and get a huge plate of amazing food for a reasonable price. I always have leftovers and that is not true at many places. Great big servings of delicious food.

Forget a plate so we have to drive all the way back, egg drop tastes like water, harldy any peanuts in my Kung Pao. Will not ever order from here again. Sorry

The food was excellent and the waitresses were delightful. We could tell that everything was fresh, the chicken, the vegetables the soup. We enjoyed our meal very much. Did I mention how amazing the food was? We will definitely be going back to this fantastic privately owned restaurant!

It's a rainy Saturday here in SA. I drove up and noticed they open at noon not 11. I returned at 11: 55 and saw a couple waiting outside in the cold. 12: 00 cane around and we' re still waiting. Doors finally opened at 12: 07. Not a good move dear merchant. Bad business.

Really good. Haven't been here in a few years. I'm from Dallas and love to eat here when we are in San Antonio. Delicious!

The absolute worse Chinese food in San Antonio, Texas. I was invited here for dinner, but I will never come back.ever. We waited for an hour to receive our food, and one of the plates were dirty with crusted food. It was sent back and never received a clean plate.

We have been coming here to eat for years. It is just a great place all around from customer service the wait staff has been there for years friendly people the food is always great I cannot say we've ever had a problem or bad experience when we've ate here whether it's dine in or take out for home.

Not what I was expecting. There was no sesame sauce on it at all. This wasn't sesame chicken. I still don't know what I ordered. Ive had better food at panda express. Should've went to Vans.

Service is great! Chow mein does not have noodles, the King pao chicken has to much 5 spice! Egg drop soup is good! Fried rice is good!

They need to improve most of their foods. They advertise wanton soup but it was just strip of fat noodles, lil pieces of pork and lil pieces of bokchoy and Broccoli beef was way to salty.

First time eating here. I chose because of course they had the most reviews. The rice was well done but salty and the General Tso chicken tasted like they poured sauce over chicken nuggets. It did not seem authenticity fresh. The sweet and sour chicken was a boneless chicken breast fried and sliced. Disappointed. Still looking for really tasty Asian cuisine.

I miss eating here at this iconic Chinese restaurant in SA Texas. I ate there during my college years. When I had my family; my two daughters. We ate there. The food is so delicious. I love Hung Fongs. Great place to eat in San Antonio Texas.

I'm from out of town and my husband and I went to try this really cute spot. The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. Great place for a lunch or dinner date.

Ordered a hot and sour soup to be brought a soup that tatsed like cream of noodle from a can. The beef and mushroom had no flavor but onion. The fried rice was not fried. The food was totally unetable. No way I will return to eat here again

A very different food taste my chicken was to over fried the egg roll had a odd taste a big change in about 7 years of not going the food just got worse! The waitress was awesome the food horrible.

My family has been coming to Hung Fung since I was very young. I must say it continues to be my favorite Chinese restaurant! Food is soo delicious! Can't get enough.

The Mongolian beef with mushroom was good the rice was terrible all the lady could say was other people said it too maybe we will check the recipe very disappointed will not be going back
