My husband and I decided to refinance our house and take advantage of the current low-interest rates. My father-in-law recommended Hurst Lending as he had just closed on his refinance using Hurst Lending and was very pleased. The Hurst Lending team (Scott & Jennifer) was exceptional in their knowledge and dedicated efforts in helping us refinance our home. They were extremely responsive, transparent, and communicative. I also appreciated being able to do everything digitally and even having a notary sent to our house for closing. This made it a super easy and pain-free process.

Started reading the reviews and was excited and thought this company could and would help but that turned to disappointment.   Spoke with Scott and he was sure we could get a deal done and that was the last positive.   I provided him with all the info and for the next week it was difficult to get a response or an update.   After 12 days I get an e-mail telling me

"Your house looks solid and the numbers could work (but we are frankly worried about getting into a deal where someone could have buyers remorse in the future because they are in a bit of a distressed situation today).   I am sure this would not happen with you but we are looking for low stress type deals. "

What does this mean?   I wasn't buying I was selling. What is a "low stress" deal? Just makes me wonder if they even tried and when I responded asking for an explanation I got no response.   The service was just bad to me

We called Hurst as a last option after 6 months of dealing with the lender I hold my mortgage with. At the very last hour I was told that we could not close on our investment property.
We called Hurst and they reassured us that the deal can be done. Tony was very knowledgeable and helpful explaining the "Texas Constitution". My husband and I decided to try again but didn't get our hopes up high.

The process was smooth and everyone I spoke with was helpful and reassuring. At last we closed on the refinance I was told previously I could never do.
