Hyatt Place Lubbock

Amazingly clean! It’s been a long time since I stayed somewhere that was so focused on attention to detail! Professional, helpful staff, great bar and breakfast, and well appointed amenities. I’ll be back for sure!

Great stay! I have been staying here for years. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly, and breakfast is good. The hotel location is great too. Its close to TTU, food, and entertainment. Parking has been a problem in the past, but that is no longer an issue. Shout out to Alyssa Sims who very accommodating and professional.

I have been coming to the hotel for the last 4 years almost 5 now once a month for work. Last 6 months the front desk staff and management has lost their ratings. Last few times they told me they don't have to food open to buy. No, it's laziness of not wanting to do it. Just like when I checked in they were serving stuff off their list then less then hour later around 7pm. I came downstairs to get something so i didn't have to get out. She tells me we are out of items we are not serving anything we are waiting on a truck. Now you been waiting on truck every time i come for last 6 months it's just later in night after a manger leaves, they do not want to have to do extra work. Same thing in the morning I needed to print something, and the printer was out of ink.asked to change it. Oh, we are out we are waiting on a truck too. The man said I can send it to his email to print off one two printers off front desk. I said no thank you because was private matters. Instead taking ink out and placing sign for others they just said oh well. When you offer things to customers you need to place signs up if out of order, so another doesn't waste their time on trying print items. Just customer service is slaking and going downhill.only reason I give any stars is house keeping the rooms are always ever clean.

I love this hotel and only stay at this hotel when I am in Lubbock (which is often). The location is great and the staff is wonderful. A true home away from home.

Good:
* Plentiful parking
* Good carts for hauling stuff
* Clean room
* Good pool towels
* Big ice bucket, good ice machine
* Good light blocking shade
* Good beds, sheets
* Wifi didn't require weird sign up

Bad:
* The bathroom door was totally inoperable, completely jammed - how did they not notice that?
* Sticky liquid sat in the elevator for a while until I reported it, and it was still a bit sticky after they cleaned it
* No shampoo, but two kinds of makeup remover, strange
* Wifi not the strongest, not that fast
* Toilet very easily clogs, and if it clogs before the maintenance guy arrives at 8a, you're just out of luck
* Electrical outlets don't strongly hold plugs
* Door to room is crazy hard door to pull open
* Lamps are glitchy
* The divider in the room crackles all night - weird
* Coffee spill sat in the elevator for a long time in the morning as well, all they did was put a caution sign over it

Overall, it seemed like the hotel was built and furnished well initially, but is not maintained well by current management.

Breakfast was awesome! What more can I say the staff was very helpful on our arrival, and the whole place just has very hard working individuals that keep the building sparkling.

In contention with the hotel across the street, it is the second best place in Lubbock.
It can get noisy from the surrounding area (bar adjacent to the hotel) but what do you expect when you are just a stones throw from a university!

Today is Sunday, June 12,2022.
I am presently staying at Hyatt Lubbock. The employee at the front desk, I forgot her name, but she has a tattoo on her arm that says, "Poetry in Motion", greeted me with a smile and she gave the impression that she loved her job.

First impressions matter. Nice Job Hyatt.
I'm off to the gym which looks nice.

Overall was clean and easily accessible. I liked the free self parking and that a parking placard was required.
The room was clean but the sliding bathroom door did not close completely nor did it lock.
The morning breakfast was good. However, it was difficult to find a dish that was clean. Most still had the last customers food on it.

I lived the room and Sheila, the housekeeper. The room was so clean. Beds perfect. Bathroom clean and inviting. I slept wonderfully. Couldn't have been better!
The first breakfast was a hit, scrambled eggs, bacon, fried potatoes and French toast. Beverages, cereal, fresh fruit and bagels/ cream cheese

Great hotel, conveniently located, nice and clean rooms. Breakfast was solid and there is a bar in the lobby too. Friendly and helpful staff. Noise might be an issue on weekends as it is close to the college bars, but wasn’t too bad.

After becoming a Globalist member, the Hyatt perks have gone to a new level! Free parking, suite upgrades, complimentary breakfast, and much more! My family is so glad we have chosen Hyatt as our travel stays. I hope this helps for your travels or with your family!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. We were given the incorrect rooms and when we asked for the propers rooms we were not given them or a different room to accommodate the amount of beds reserved. We were also not notified ahead of time of the mix up of rooms.

Two times until now I stay here and both when visit this place for my business work. Love their rooms and pricing I will not say is cheap as well as not that much expensive for me. And I love this place looking to visit for a weekend someday.

This was definitely the worst hotel stay I’ve ever been at. They do not accommodate to their problems that they caused. They double booked our room, with no heads up. I called them 3 days prior to the check in date to make sure everything was fine and it was. When we checked in and I was showing her the email, she completely dismissed us and said “there’s nothing we can do”. The only thing they did was give us a $20 discount on a $270 room. It’s their fault, yet they can’t take responsibility. Only one of the staff that works there treated me kindly. Plus the bathroom doors didn’t lock. Gross.

Conveniently located to the campus area. Plenty of food and fun places within walking distance. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good. The social hour is a nice touch. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is my go-to place when I stay in Lubbock.

Nice and quiet rooms. In the lobby they have a combo bar for coffee and alcohol. The cost is comparable to a typical bar pricing. Each morning a buffet style breakfast is available. Friendly atmosphere.
