Have been here several times. Also had customers stay here as well. 2 years ago I would have given 5 stars but seems like it has gone downhill a bit. The pool was dirty and seemed like the upkeep wasn't what it use to be. The hotel itself just didn't feel as "fresh" as it did in previous years. The property doesn't have the same upkeep standards for what you are paying to stay here.

This resort gets my 5 stars. The staff is very nice and polite. The facility is clean and very well kept. The kids had a ball. We will definitely be back.

Both the adult pool and child pool were very small, connected by the artificial lazy river that was super shallow, pools were surrounded by beautiful foliage that was also in the water. It was full of leaves and twigs, sand, spiders and bugs. Never saw the water turned on to the water slide the entire time we were there, so it was unusable, hot tub was hot but didn’t bubble and you could lift handfuls of dirt out of it. Guests rudely left the inner tubes in the pools and river causing “damns” so you couldn’t float through. The restaurants were VERY high priced, especially for quality of food. Breakfast is NOT included, They had signs up warning people on trails about high snake activity, No microwave in rooms. They found ways to charge extra for everything, hot home was still seeing extra charges on my card, Front desk said it was probably room service, never ordered any. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Nice nestled location.

Limited food selection - two restaurants open when we went over Father’s Day weekend.

We arrived at 4: 00 pm, and our room wasn’t ready until 5: 30 - 6: 00 pm (3: 00 pm check in time). I understand that the resort allows for last check outs, but they need to come up with additional staff to accommodate the incoming guests. This was an inconvenience especially with small children.

We asked for additional towels to be sent to our room. When we arrived back to our room, the towels were placed on the floor outside the door to our hotel room. Not the type of service you would expect from a reputable name as Hyatt along with the price of the stay.

Was okay, but don’t know if we would revisit.

This is a great resort for a young family with a dog that likes to get out in nature. Rooms are modern and clean. Decor is based on Texas history and it feels like you’re staying in a museum in the best way possible. Food and activities are excellent. The pool and lazy river are showing their age, but work on updates and upgrades was happening during our visit. Staff was attentive and prompt in most cases. The Wolf is a fun golf course for low handicappers. Duffers Beware. Guests of the hotel got free rental clubs.

Keep going South to the San Antonio Hill Country Resort. Lost Pines Family resort? The only dinner dining option open at Lost Pines is a bar that feels like an old airport Applebees. Many of the rooms have a wonderful view of the parking lot. Wifi wouldn't connect. Half of the lightbulbs are out in the room. There is red paint or nail polish spilled all over the floor. The explanation we were given is that they didn't have time to do a "deep clean". The junior suite feels suspiciously like a remodeled maintenance area. We booked a three night vacation and drove four hours with toddlers. The wait for dinner on a Tuesday night was 40 minutes, which is less than ideal when you need to get kiddos fed and in bed at a reasonable hour. Food was good and we had some family fun with the smores, but we will spend tonight and check out in the a.m. And head to San Antonio. Not good. Would not recommend.

Worst experience ever. No room service, all restaurants closed early, water was off half time on slide, shallow lazy river and dirty, hot tub was warm and full of sand. Beware of hidden charges, resort fees and unexplained charges that not even front desk can answer why I had charges! 18 dollar daily parking. Besides nice scenery that’s the only thing hotel has to offer. No complimentary breakfast for 800 two day stay after hidden fees ridiculous. Would not recommend to anyone ever.
