I Love Lucy's Alterations, Rockwall TX

Lucy is a delight to work with and did great quality work on my wedding dress. I will be talking all my garments to her for alteration needs.

Lucy is the sweetest lady and did the best job on my bridesmaid dress. Her turn-around time was fast and her prices are super affordable. She'll definitely be my go-to for alterations from now on.

If you have a specialty dress, Lucy is your answer! I contacted 6 or 7 alteration services (including my usual go-to) that would not touch my daughter's homecoming dress due to the nature of the unique fabric/beading/sequins/glitter, but Lucy was more than capable to handle the job. I will say that the alteration cost was more than I was expecting when I purchased the dress, but after learning about the difficulty and being turned away by so many others, I would say that the cost was probably justified. I would venture to say that "normal" alterations would be competitively priced. Turn around time was quick and work was excellent. Will use again!

Lucy did an excellent job on my two daughters’ bridesmaid dresses and my mother-of the-bride dress. With all of the wedding prep, the dresses slipped had my mind until the last minute. Upon a recommendation of a friend, I called Lucy, and she managed to squeeze us in right before a trip that she had previously scheduled. Her work was excellent and fast. We highly recommend her!

I am so happy to have found Lucy! I bought a beautiful scalloped lace dress at DB back in September. I knew it was too long, but I fell in love with it. Even though DB had already set me an appointment for alterations, something just did not sit right with me: I did not understand how the dress could be shortened when the bottom had a scalloped lace pattern. And so I searched for a local tailor that I could consult. When I first met Lucy, I knew she was someone special. She was sweet, honest, and passionate about what she does. She told me what things we could fix and what we couldn't. She took the shoulders up, brought in the upper back just a bit, replaced a weak hook and added another, and added three bustles to my dress.

And then.we came to the length of the dress. Yes, even with heels, my dress was still four to five inches too long! She told me that we could not trim from the bottom, but after examining it some more, she suggested we cut from the waist. It was a risk, but I was sold. She told me that she would have to secure and work around the beads and embroidery on the middle section of my dress before doing anything else to it. And it worked! Lucy did a PHENOMENAL job. I couldn't have asked for better results. Not to mention, my dress has about four to five layers of fabric! She called me about a week after I dropped off my dress, which I was not expecting!

Tomorrow my sisters and I are going to see her for their bridesmaid dresses. My wedding isn't until May of 2020, but I am very happy and relieved that our dresses are taken care of well before then. Thank you, Lucy! You are a blessing. ️

Lucy is so kind and attentive! I called to schedule an appointment to have my wedding dress altered. She was going out of town that week, but made time to alter my dress in 3 days!
