Ideal Dental Alamo Ranch, San Antonio TX

I signed my child up for their dental plan. I called on 14 Dec to schedule my child for a Saturday appointment on 20 Jan. I did all my forms online prior to the appointment. I did not get a reminder notification, but not all offices do those. Headed over to the appointment well in advance.door locked and no one answered the phone. Online hours reflected that they were open, and I do understand hours change. The hours posted on the clinic door reflected open. If their hours changed in their EMR system I would not have been able to be scheduled at that time. I requested a call back from the call center. I was called approx 30 min later and was informed that there was no record of my child in the system. Yet, I received an email confirmation from Ideal Dental letting me know that my child was in their program at Alamo Ranch AND they happily took my money. The call center worker did help me cancel the dental plan and refund my money. It's amazing they could find my money but not my child's account or appointment. I had such high hopes since they had a dental plan, decent reviews, and convenient hours. Very disappointed.

I arrived to my appointment and both receptionist were outside smoking. I walked in and didn't get help till about 5 minutes later. I went in for a cracked tooth and severe pain, hoping to get treatment. They weren't able to find my insurance benefits, so I called myself to get that information because if they were to call it was going to be a "long wait". So we got the benefits after all, pretty much I was still going to pay too much out of pocket. I wanted to shop around to see what will be reasonable for me. As I was about to walk out, one rude receptionist said to the other "SORRY FOR ALL THAT HARD WORK FOR NOTHING. " All she did was break down all the copays for me. Serioulsy not that hard! That's literally your job! I work at an optometrist office and I will never treat people like that. They were so gross and rude with thier cigarette breath.

Josh was a wonderful high genius, he was quick and great in communication. The Office manger Mrs. Santos was very sweet talked about plans in a variety options about helping about my teeth shifting

I was very pleased DR. NGUYEN and ANNETTE WHERE BOTH GREAT the whole staff was amazing the made my visit pleasant. WILL HIGHLY Recommend this office to anyone for their dental needs

Rude and very over priced! Told me without my knowledge of any late fees that they are $75 each time and wanted me to spend an extra $110 plus 4 late fee charges extra $300. After I already paid for a cleaning and exam that I would need to pay that before I got a cleaning and X-rays which I already paid for in advance. This place is trash don’t waste your money here just so they can get one over on ya. Already happened to me so I wanted to leave this here so it doesn’t happen to to anyone else

Pleasant, helpful staff from front desk to billing. Dentist and Hygienist are knowledgeable professionals who put one at ease, thoroughly explain treatment plan options so patient may actively participate in making educated choices regarding their dental health. No pushy sales pitch proposals I have personally experienced in other dental offices.

All respect to my friends & family who are hygienists, but I love Karen! She's So thorough and on top of things. I would rather someone catch something early before it's a bigger problem. She has very gentle hands.

Dr. Ho (sp?) was so personable and very calming on the nerves! She was excellent at presenting options without being aggressive.

My Dental Hygienist was excellent. She is very knowledgeable and always made sure I was comfortable and not in any pain. She is very personable and makes the time spent in the office go by quickly. I would recommend the Alamo Ranch location to friends and family.

Very nice, friendly professional Staff and Dentist (Sue). Janet, hygienist, was excellent, explained step by step what she was doing. The office is very clean, beautifully decorated, and, their equipment is state of the art.

Everyone was really nice and helpful. I am really scared of going to the dentist but everyone put me at ease. The dentist also was very nice. She didn’t try to have me do anything that isn’t needed.

Very affordable care! Clean and inviting office, staff was absolutely the nicest! Very kind and very patient. I get anxious with the dentist and they made me feel calm and taken care of. Definitely recommend!

It started off a bit rocky because we waited a very long time. We had an appointment later in the day and they were running behind which I wouldn’t have minded but I was supposed to go back to work. Once we got in everyone was very nice, professional, and did great with my 9 year old son. We were there over 2 hours but next time I’ll go in the morning to avoid that problem hopefully. We will be back still, they are super close to our house which is also a plus!

My husband and I have been going to this location for years. It’s always a pleasant experience. The RDH Karen is great! The office staff is very friendly.
