Leaving Ideal dental today my anxiety is even higher than it was coming in. I came in because I recently had my braces removed and needed a cleaning and thought that maybe a filling had popped out. The smell when you walk in is like sewer. I was immediately taken to the back and scanned by the assistant. The dentist came in and said that my filling had fallen out, but it could be something minor and I should just keep in eye on it until my next cleaning. When asking what the treatment plan would be he advised I would get a crown and would need a new retainer, but that he didn’t think it was something I should worry about yet and that I should just wait. I then proceeded with the cleaning. After that I was brought to the front and told by the receptionist the pricing of the procedure and that the crown needed to happen immediately and as soon as this afternoon. I advised her of what the dentist told me she then went to the back to check in with him. When she came back she was very adamant that this work needed to be done today. I asked to speak with the dentist and he then tried to reverse his words and tell me that my tooth is fractured and that it needed to happen now. It was only after hearing about the money that this office became adamant that I have this procedure today. When I visit the doctor I expect my health and wellness to be the number one priority. At this office you can expect the complete opposite.

I went for my regular exam and cleaning.
They recommend a deep cleaning which cost me more than $800.
I asked for the regular cleaning that is covered in my insurance, they refused to do so.

I apparently reviewed this place before, but my experience recently was different this time; for example: I showed up early in hopes that they would see me sooner because I was told I was the last customer when I made my appointment. This did not win me any favor because I was called right at the time of my appointment after 45 minutes of waiting.

Then the dental hygienist completely confused me when (I know her intention was not to overwhelm) she completely missed the mark when she tried to explain that they wouldn’t be doing any dental work that day only x-rays. This confused me because she spoke in circles and I’m used to direct language so I left the dental office confused and frustrated. I would’ve preferred the dental hygienist to be direct with me and say due to the amount of work I needed there wasn’t enough time in the appointment to assess and apply treatment. I would have appreciated the clear, communication.

Lastly, (but first red flag) The receptionist who made my appointment needed to be thorough and efficient and check the last time I was there to see that I might need more attention.

Overall I felt unheard, rushed and unvalued. I’m hoping my follow up appointment will be better.

The instalations are modern and clean, you feel comfortable and safe to get services here; however they always push extra services like Invisalign. Also, I had a very uncomfortable experience with one of their hygienists, she was extremely hard and careless while performing a prophylaxis.

I have been receiving dental (and ortho) care here for nearly 3 years. I’ve waited to provide review to ensure I have fair judgement in consistency in excellence of service. My ortho is complete and I am 100% satisfied. My case was a challenge, but the Ortho team led by Dr. Mo were straightforward in answering my questions, accommodating in my many scheduling conflicts, and followed through with everything they said they would do. I’ve never had an ortho scheduling problem, but I also offered to meet at another office location, if possible since I was the one unavailable when they were in at Crescent location. They were more than accommodating and I stayed on track with adjustments because of their flexibility to meet me halfway. I have found the dental team including hygienist to be thorough, helpful, and available. In advance of the ortho adjustments, I required extraction surgery and Dr. Chavda handled my difficult case with care. This location is very convenient for me to handle ongoing dental care, and I highly recommend for ortho care.

Extremely terrible experience scheduling for an appointment, or just getting into AN appointment.
I had made an appointment for myself and my husband. And after confirming it three times through the email link, through text, and through the patient portal, they called me to say they’re not open on that day. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that there might be some glitch that allowed the appointments to be scheduled on that day.
So I asked them for the next available Saturday appointment for my husband. And I got myself a Friday appointment instead. As Friday approaching, I went through the whole confirmation ordeal again just to get another call asking to reschedule. Thought that I should be understanding, I agreed and gave them another chance.
Then my husband’s appointment day came… Of course, he completed all the confirmation needed. When he showed up to the appointment, the place was CLOSED… There was no one inside. The light was off. There was no call prior to the appointment date, no missed call, and no cancellation email or text that somehow got lost in our Junk folder.
Needless to say, I’m planning to cancel my appointment to avoid showing up to an empty dental office. And I can not understand how appointments could be allowed to be scheduled when the staff was clueless whether the place would be open or not. Even if the closure is set last minute, we would really appreciate a simple phone call to notify us, rather than wasting our time.

This dentist office is so unprofessional. I am a new patient and I was trying to schedule an appointment with them. The first time I called i got scheduled for a Saturday appointment. 2 days before the appointment they called me and said the office will be closed that Saturday and will need to reschedule it. So we rescheduled to Saturday Aug 5th.and when I was getting ready for my appointment today Aug 5th. I got a message from them at 8: 02 AM saying my appointment is on Aug 12th, so this mean they rescheduled it again for the third time. Wow! I tried calling them like 20 times and nobody answers. So unprofessional from a dentist office, definitely going somewhere else where they respect time and have better communication.

Pretty office, but inconsistent delivery of care

Very poor experience. Multiple changes in doctors and management. Very poor information delivery. Once they cancelled my appointment because they decided to do an extended lunch meeting, even though I was never aware and waited patiently outside their door for 45 min, making numerous attempts to call. Another time they never confirmed my appointment, and so I called the day before only to hear the doctor had closed seeing patients that day for religious purposes.

BEWARE DO NOT USE this dentist office. Unsavory Business Practices/Unethical Dentist Office. This dentist office should be reported to Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. The staff is rude and Dental Hygienist always try to sell you on treatments that you do not need and are not covered by the insurance company just to make money off the patient. It’s unethical.
This Dental office will try to do X-rays every 6months when it’s not required. (Just because insurance covers it) They will say you have inflamed gums to try to get you to do a deep cleaning or $80 treatment when it’s not really needed. (Again to get extra money). I go for a regular cleaning every 6months and never had this issue until I moved to Houston.
When I refused all the unnecessary treatments they offered, the Dental Hygienist got mad. She stated she don’t feel comfortable doing my regular teeth cleaning because I did not want to let them do extra procedures. (I worked in claims so I know the dentist office don’t get paid by the insurance company for regular teeth cleanings; this is why they consistently try to get you to do treatments you don’t need)
They tried to sell me on an $80 treatment that I did not need, a deep cleaning that I did not need, and a fluoride treatment that I did not need. Just to make some extra money.
Make sure to check all claims submitted to your insurance company by this dental office. Do not pay for procedures you do not need. They do not give complimentary toothbrush or floss after your office visit. I will not return.
This dentist office must be struggling financially. Stay away.

Prices have seemingly double, an I have a 600 credit score which isn’t the worse and still was unable to receive financial assistance, they did offer medication which is a minor relief but with the prices, I have to save up just to get healthy teeth. An that’s is with insurance.

Ohhh my goodness! I have been coming here for months now regarding my bridge. Today I walked in and the smell automatically started making my head hurt and making my stomach feel nauseated. I am seriously considering rescheduling my appointment. The smell is AWFUL. Smells like sewer. Not a happy customer right about now. This should seriously be looked into and have it fixed. I feel so bad for the poor staff having to smell this smell all day.

I brought my daughter in for a check up and cleaning. She is only 13 years old. She went back by herself, and I never got a chance to talk to the dentist. The only interaction I had was with the office manager, which I did not care for. She needed some fillings and possible root canal. I would’ve liked to have had it come from the dentist instead of a third-party. Also, they sold us on an $80 gum treatment which I don’t think was worth the money. He said it would’ve been covered under some insurance, but mine did not cover it so it was $80. The waiting room area is very nice and they are very polite on the phone when I’ve talk to them.

Took off work on a Monday (a week before appointment) to schedule an appointment as a new patient. Went in, in person to schedule and to make sure they could get me in and if they accepted my insurance. I got a call the Tuesday the week of the appointment (2 days) before the appointment to say they had to cancel because the office would be closed. Why book my appointment if the office would be closed and why does it say open on Google. I had to readjust my child’s daycare and my work schedule because of this. So new patients be aware. I will try another dentist because my time is valuable

Do not use this dentist. I recently switched to them for the last year, and they’ve constantly tried to shill unneeded treatments. I’ve had great teeth for the past 20 years of my life, but as soon as I switched here, they recommended procedure after procedure with little to no evidence… Not to mention, they are extremely slow and disrespectful to your time.
