Ideal Dental of Roanoke

If you are looking for a new dental office, or have been referred to this location, I would not waste your time or phones data… what I mean by that is, if you go to this dental office ONE time, expect a phone call every month or two even if you request them to remove your number. Absolutely ridiculous. Never had such a weird, telemarketing, unethical experience from a dental office. Not sure where their high ratings came about. Genuinely hope no one else wastes their time the way I did with this “dental office”.

Ideal Dental did a great job with my cleaning and filling! Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend seeing them for your dental needs.

I came to Ideal Dental after my tooth broke. I was anxious due to a bad dental experience in the past, but the staff made me feel comfortable and gave me a full exam. Dr. Shah explained the treatments that I needed, and then we worked together to prioritize the treatments based on my concerns and my dental health. I am so glad that I found this office!

We’ve been coming here for a few years now. Easy, quick, super fun staff. I don’t like going to the dentist, but this is the only one I’ll go to.

We were really very impressed with Ideal Dental Roanoke. We were new patients and they provided us with a very inexpensive initial evaluation with recommendations and even teeth whitening. The team that took care of us was Madi, Stephanie and Dr Shaw. They were thorough and very professional and I highly recommend them. I do not think you will be disappointed.

There was always an issue with my trays coming in on time. They don’t value your time at all. Dr. Breaud is nice but the only reason I went was to fix my teeth grinding in the back. The focus was always on how it looked, not the function and health of my teeth. They are completely disorganized. They had me take the scans for my retainers twice. I would most definitely recommend to just go to an orthodontist that has their own office and that isn’t a chain. Your orthodontics impact your airway so be cautious about who you choose. So sad, I had high hopes for this place.

I recently moved to Texas so needed to get established with a dentist. The staff members were extremely friendly and the office space is very nice. I was a little at the amount of suggested work they said I needed on my teeth. I regularly get cleanings and exams and had not been told I needed this amount of work in the past. However, we are going to do some of the work now and space out the remaining so it is more manageable.

The dentist was great! She was kind, cautious, genuinely caring. Would recommend her in a heartbeat!

This place was amazing, they got me in as a walk in the same day, they were extremely nice and friendly, the facility was clean and the service was great.

They’re always so patient with me since I usually have difficulty with the routine cleaning. Staff is always personable and makes me feel right at home. I live in Hurst but make the drive to Roanaoke since they are always so great to me. Highly recommend.

This was my first visit to Ideal Dental in Roanoke. It was great! Appointment began on-time. All of the staff was professional and pleasant. Office was spotless and has the latest equipment. And, most importantly, my dentist (Dr. Shah) was excellent.

Every time I visit they always take such good care of me! I’ve never experienced any judgment from any of the ladies even though it’s been wayyyy too long since seeing a dentist! I love coming here!

Ideal Dental of Roanoke is absolutely amazing! They’ve been so genuine and kind. I found them when my son chipped his tooth late in the afternoon one day and although the hygienists were already gone… the dentist squeezed us in. She wanted to make sure nothing more severe was going on and I’m so grateful she did! He ended up needing to have the tooth splinted and by the following morning they had already consulted with the endodontist and scheduled our treatment appointment.

Their team is so welcoming and understanding as well! As a parent… I tend to put off my own appointments and have had experience in the past where I walk away feeling judged and embarrassed. Dr. Shah and her staff were understanding and compassionate which gave me peace of mind. They are helpful and love to educate instead of belittle.

This practice does not follow the American Dental Association guidelines. They radiate every patient who walks into the door not once but TWICE with panoramic (30μSv = 5x your annual normal radiation exposure) followed by intraoral dental X rays (1-8μSv). Dental guidelines recommend not using xrays until AFTER an oral exam and ONLY if clinically indicated. I was forced to get the panoramic one and then I asked to hold off on further images when they wanted more without looking at the first one. Then I was rudely approached by Dr. Jirga Shah whose first words to me were, "I heard you're REFUSING xrays. " I wasn't refusing Xrays. I explained that, per the ADA guidelines (which she should be following), I'd gladly get ADDITIONAL xrays if she felt they were necessary AFTER her exam (though I highly doubt they're ever indicated if you got a panoramic one). After the exam, she said they were not necessary (of course not!). Please, regardless of where you go, only get ONE of the two xrays AFTER you've been examined. You will likely NOT need them (even if they seem to be "free" with your insurance - remember nothing is "free"), you can avoid unnecessary radiation exposure (which is not insignificant with the panoramic), and if clinically indicated, you can get them after your oral exam.
