Ideal Turf reviews
7 We had problems getting them to come back to fix unaccepted areas.
They punctured a water irrigation pipe and never repaired it.
Putting in a home putting green and just wanted to say that Ideal Turf was terrific. They were helpful in every way and provided advice and guidance that was right for my situation without trying to oversell or over promise anything. I highly recommend these guys!
As a General Contractor in Dallas Ideal Turf is my go to firm when it comes to synthetic turf of any kind, small or large they start and finish on time with no hassles.
I have been a customer of Ideal Turf going back to 2016, doing 5 projects in total. I’ve not had issues with installation but recently have taken issue with the repair side. The repair I needed wasn’t due to fault of install, but a sprinkler pipe issue underneath.
While making payment for my last project, I’d informed them that we needed a repair. They wouldn’t take this information over the phone but told me to inquire via their website (8/21). I did this and days went by with no reply. When I’d finally received a reply (8/30), it was that I hadn’t sent pictures via their website. I obliged and sent pictures (8/30). I did not receive a reply until I followed up (9/5) and asked about another installation. At this time they gave me the cost, $487 but they would not schedule or inform me of when they could schedule until I’d paid. Their exact words:
“I have to receive payment before I can schedule. If you'd like to pay by credit card, I can see how soon I have availability. ”
The method of payments are check by mail or CC with a 3-5% fee. The next morning I had a sales consult for a 15k installation. Needless to say, I cancelled as they would not schedule my repair or give me an date until payment is made. I don’t feel this is how long time and repeat customers should be treated.
We liked their product, hired them, lived with and liked the result, and finally had them back to do a larger area. I repeatedly sensed that there is a big emphasis there on customer satisfaction, including doing little extra tasks not clearly spelled out ahead of time. The job was done in one day, and when I asked them to come back to clean up a little better and attach one bit of the edge better, they did not only those things, but another I thought of, another my wife asked about (but didn't go as far as asking them to do), and some other task a normal consumer would never have known to ask about. Especially in today's labor market, I wouldn't want to have to compete with such an organization!
Spent a ton of money putting down over 5000 ft. ² of turf. We have been trying to get a hold of somebody for over a month now because the main yard is absolutely falling apart and we need it properly stretched out and serviced. Been told multiple times somebody would get right back to us and haven’t even had a courtesy call back.
