Immanuel Seventh Day Adventist Church reviews
3I had a good time at this church. The church is small, but the people are very warm and friendly.
It was a blessing everyone was nice and welcoming. We ha did a wonderful time in worship and fellowship.
Last week I visit the church. No one greeted me. Little lost, I found my way to the temple. Saw an old friend who was very kind and happy. She introduced me to some people. There were two men/brothers talking. Their conversation was interrupted by us.not by choice. I was introduced and it was mentioned that I was from New York and Dominican. One said hello and the other said hello but had the nerve to ask me a personal question. I was not asked if I was an SDA from another church, nor asked if I live around here, not asked something simple but IF I KNOW HOW TO COOK. Thank you Holy Spirit for holding my tongue. All that came out of my mouth was Of course I can cook. He replied, " we will see about that. " I thought to myself excuse me? The answer I wanted to give this stranger was the only mouth I need to worry about impressing is my husbands and after 7 years, I don't think he is complaining. Service was nice. The singing, music, guest Pastor who shared Gods word, was food for thought. But this man, this elder.does he have a list of sisters who can cook and others who can not? I dont have to impress this man for any reason. That has tainted my experience there and wonder if making this church my church home, I will have to spend it proving I am good enough.
