I had Michelle and Steve Field as my open water instructors. They were amazing and will be looking forward to coming back and doing more lessons with them.

Find another shop. I was a PADI instructor for 15 years and worked with many shops and these folks are a no go. Arrogant and not customer centric at all. I was completely surprised by the experience. I did not inform them of my background just came in as a customer and wow. Further they provided me information that was not accurate. There are good shops in the metroplex, I took a chance to see if this was one of them it’s not. Avoid

I got my PADI OPEN WATER SCUBA certification and trait through International SCUBA Frisco. It was an excellent experience all around. Chris Simmons, PADI # 230916 was an outstanding instructor. The store was helpful and showed me the correct gear and made the entire process a breeze.

Lance and Bill are the absolute BEST instructors. They are informative, fun, and have great knowledge of Scuba. I could not have asked for a better certification experience! Looking forward to my first blue water dive in a little over 1 week! Thanks so much!

Absolutely DO NOT USE THIS SHOP! I have been diving all over and never met a shop who while they state they have one cancellation policy, decides not to honor it!

This shop was taken over by new owners! The glowing reviews are NOT NOT NOT the new owners and their management! While the old Scuba Frisco was a GREAT shop - they sold to these new owners!

We have a WRITTEN contract that allows us to have a 60 day cancellation for a trip in JUNE! We have repeatedly informed the shop WE ARE NOT GOING, they have refused to refund our money, and now are not even returning calls.

I guess they think we will just donate a few thousand dollars to their wealth…well that is simply NOT going to be the case.

The trip is a disaster with a “live-aboard” that may not even move? A trip leader that is more confused about the destination that a simple Google search, and the lodging which a mess.

Trust me…I have been active in diving since 1989, I have trained to instructor level, and I have NEVER EVER seen business practices like this.

Maybe they are a decent shop beyond this one episode, but we will NEVER do business with them again, and I will warn you to stay clear of this shop, and their owners! They also have a shop in Carrolton, and we have heard rumors about similar issues in the past, but I’m not about to delineate what I don’t know.

Tomorrow I will be calling my attorney to try to get our money since the shop seems unwilling to do so.

Sad that we have owners and businesses like this in Frisco, sad that they tarnish such an amazing sport!

Want to get certified? It’s amazing…do what I did for my kids. Take a PADI certified online class, associate yourself with VIP Divers in Bonaire, and do all your dives in the ocean! Amazing place to dive, fantastic dive shop, and since Bonaire has “pool like conditions” after a brief pool session, all the rest of their dives were in the ocean!

But steer clear of this dive shop!

Did the Reactivate course for an upcoming trip and got to have Frank as my instructor. He was extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and helpful! Got to meet the shop owners, since I did the course at their personal pool, and they were the sweetest folks! Would highly recommend!

As fate would have it my family and I stumbled across this quaint dive shop by sheer accident after searching for Dive Shops near my daughter's apartment. Being From San Antonio, TX, I was unfamiliar with all of the Dive Shops in the area and my daughter was looking to purchase a new regulator and dive computer setup to replace the old system she had been diving with since they were no longer serviceable (yes they were ancient but great regs). As non-teaching PADI MSDT I knew the best bet would be to search for PADI 5 Star facilities and we decided to give Scuba Frisco a visit. We were immediately greeted by Treta Sellers and owner Thorsten Prutz with warm smiles (although hidden by masks they were glad to see us). Treta started showing my daughter the different options of regulators and explained the benefits of each and the cost. She spoke directly to my daughter and did not try to explain things to me which is a big no no if you know my daughter. She wants people to speak directly to her and she will ask me for input only if she wants it. During the time in the shop my son bought a new dive mask and my daughter purchased her first regulator, octo, computer console. And ole Dad ended up purchasing a new travel BC. They had better pricing on their gear than the shops here in San Antonio and earned my business. So Take if from a 30 year PADI Member if you are in/around the DFW area and are looking for a top notch Dive Shop take the time and drive over to SCUBA Frisco.

I have been buying gear through another dive store but they didn't have much inventory so I recently tried Scuba Frisco. What a difference! Lots of choices on gear in stock and very knowledgeable staff to help you at Scuba Frisco.

Maira Thomas is an awesome scuba instructor! I felt fully prepared for my open water dives after my closed water dive with her. She is excellent! Treta Sellers is also wonderful and so encouraging! The staff is amazing!

Thorston and Treta are very helpful and assisted my spouse and I with the process for the e learning for the open water certification. Both very patient as we had tons of questions pertaining to gear. We ended up purchasing gear and were fitted appropriately for Fins/BCDS/Regulators/Computers/SPGs. Looking forward to our new found relationships with the both of them! A+ service!

My two teenagers were both recently certified through Scuba Frisco. They worked hard to accommodate our tight schedule for certification as we were headed to Florida in the following few weeks and wanted to do some diving with the kids. Maira Thomas, their pool instructor was AWESOME. She was extremely thorough and very friendly. Both kids really enjoyed working with her and I felt like they received excellent instruction regarding safety. They completed the lake portion of their certification with Dustin Palmer, who was wonderful as well. He gave them a lot of positive feedback and made them feel at ease in the water. We could not have had a better experience!

I did my confined water portion of my scuba diving certification with Scuba Frisco. I really appreciated Trita working hard to accommodate my schedule. Due to Covid I had to do the first part of the training in the owner’s personal pool. I was welcomed like family by his friendly wife. My instructor, VINNY, was amazing and had a great sense of humor.
Thanks Scuba Frisco team! Can’t wait to finish up at the lake.

Scuba Frisco and our instructor, Vinny, were incredible on getting our 13 year old son confined water dives in less than 4 hours. Due to their main pool not being open yet, owner Thorsten had us at his home to use their pool, which worked great, and his wonderful wife was the best hostess ever! Thanks so much!

Easily one of the best dive shops in the area. Fantastic staff that help you find the right gear, and great selection.
