Ion Austin reviews
19Extremely poor service with management extremely unwilling to work with residents. Very improper and wouldn't recommend staying here.
Extremely poor management with terrible maintenance and services and unwillingness to work with residents. Would not recommend staying here.
I really enjoyed living at ion, the amenities were great and I liked the community! The rooms were a little smaller than expected and some elevators sometimes broke down, but overall I had a great experience. MAGGIE was the nicest member on staff and was always there to get packages or just have a fun convo on the way out! Give her a raise!
Great staff! They are super kind and helpful. I was confused about a leasing and other things, and they were honest and helpful about what they could and couldn't do. My only problem is the rooms without windows. They charge $25 for a window room, and as someone without a window room, it can seriously harm your mood. However, the apartments themselves are top quality and at an affordable price if you sign the lease early.
Love living here! The staff always make sure that we as residents are comfortable and safe.its great all the help and resources they provide to their customers.
I wondered why the rating on the property was so low after a friend took me on a tour. Then I had to deal with the staff. There's definitely a corporate culture problem in this company regarding accountability and communication. I was blown away that each person I talked to was more incompetent, rude, and dismissive than the last. They will lie about certain policies and then change them on you last minute leaving you without a place to move into and in the dark. Then they had the audacity to tell me to calm down and further dismiss my complaint. These people have no business dealing with public housing. I mean the coldness and attitude they had towards a situation THEY CAUSED. Don't count on anyone having your back or helping you in anyway especially if they caused the issue. I did everything I was supposed to do and the way I was treated by Mario and Andre should have them fired. You don't cause someone this much stress and frustration then tell them to calm down or try and shift the blame onto the person What cowards man. I feel sorry for anyone living in this building long term.
Incredible team that goes above and beyond for residents (especially Ryan Rico). I have a lease for the upcoming academic year, which begins in late August. A few weeks ago, I accepted an an internship that would require me to reside in Austin for the summer. I found a resident willing to sublease their unit. Not only did the management team make the lease delegation process very simple and painless, they made it so I could stay during the August transfer period (nearly all leases in West Campus end in late July). Great service for a unique circumstance and the management team exceeded my expectations. Excited to move in!
In addition, while touring apartments last fall, the Ion team stood out. Ion's tour was painless and the leasing agents were not pushy at all. They spoke honestly about advantages and flaws to the building. It felt like we were talking to real humans. The incredible service I received during the subletting process confirmed that the management team is great for residents, even after you sign your lease.
Not only that, Ion's contract is short and more fair than other West Campus housing. The listed price is more expensive, but having minimal hidden fees make a difference. Small delegation fees, no application fee, and utilities included in a flat amenities fee.
I would never go out of my way to visit the ion leasing office. Unless Osman moradel was working. Then I would drop anything and everything to lime scooter there as quick as possible since I do not own a car because I love him more than life itself.
Osman is the most amazing, helpful, friendly, compassionate, intelligent ETM I’ve encountered. Keep up the good work, I renewed just for him?
Very friendly and helpful staff. Had a great experience with Osman, he was very knowledgeable and accommodating!
Recently toured Ion trying to decide on housing for next year- Osman at the leasing office made my time so efficient and helpful I almost signed a lease right there!
Awesome building with a great location and amenities! Friendly and helpful staff.enjoyed living here going on 3 years!
Had a great experience visiting Ion thanks to Osman! He was very friendly and patient in addressing my many questions and concerns
Ion would be nothing without the absolute staple of its community. This staple, this INSTITUTION of a man is named Osman Moradel. It seems to me that simply nothing would be achieved without this man’s wisdom and finesse. #osmanforceo
Toured ion with my roommate, it was aqueduct for the price and great location but overall my main reason for leaving satisfied was Osman. He was very helpful, answered my questions, and was able to help my roommate with her questions as well. If you go and your ask for Osman!
Ion is nice and all but I wish I could shrink their employee named Osman down and put him in my pocket.
Went there to visit, the place is great and the staff is amazing! One of them was particularly nice to me and made my day, thank you Osman:)
If I could give no stars I would. My son lived there the very first year it was open. Along with the cramped space and over pricing (which we knew and accepted) ; the move out experience was terrible. Despite my MANY attempts to speak with a manager over deposit refund and room damage disputes, no one would every call me back. I called everyday for a week, sent a certified letter and emailed several times. NO ONE wanted to talk to me; just send me form letters and a bill. They ultimately turned it over to a collection agency. I still refused to pay and have all documentation. They were very rude and unprofessional in their neglect of calling me back.
I will say the staff there at really nice and are willing to help you. But there are just a few things I would advise you if you get a lease. I normally don't write reviews but I feel like I should at least warn someone if they want to live at Ion. First, I had a huge silverfish issue throughout the entire time of my sublease. Over the summer, I didn't even live in the apartment and when I came back it got so so so bad. I also feel like it gets dusty fast. Which I am guessing is due to the AC system? Not sure on that though. In my current apartment (not at Ion) I never have any of these issues and I take care of it the same way I did before. I got a lot of move out charges for how it wasn't clean but the thing is that I didn't live there over the summer so however "dirty" it was, assuming they mean the dust/silverfish, it wasn't my fault. I loved living there but at the same time I don't think I could go back I am just too worried about the silverfish especially. I think the building might just be a little old and that's why.not really sure but just beware especially with the high prices of rent.
