Amazing atmosphere and very family friendly! The ONLY PLACE AND LOCATION TO enjoy a movie, dinner, and a cocktail! I will not go to any other place for a movie, dinner, and a cocktail!

It’s worth the price. The chairs are so plush and the blankets are a nice touch. There’s a full bar/restaurant with a great menu. You can also order food at your seat. Try the buffalo chicken spring rolls.

Movie on a big screen plus a meal is already a winning combination in my books. Add in comfortable seats, no bad viewing angles, great sound quality, craft cocktails and attentive service, then you have the elevated experience offered here. I appreciated the cozy blanket also!

Really frustrated with this location. Got here about 30 minutes before the movie start time to have some drinks, but the entire area was closed. They didn’t mention this on the website so that’s frustrating. Escalators didn’t work. Bathroom was dirty. Employees were rude. The movie theater itself was great. Can’t say I’d come back here unfortunately.

Very nice, very expensive. Worth the price for some movies but I wouldn’t go for every single one.

IPIC is interesting. It WANTS to give you a fancy theatre experience, but it also feels like it's confused how fancy to go while being held back by wanting to cater to the masses, if that makes sense. Basically there's things about it that have the characteristics of a fancy movie theatre experience, but there's also some things that really just tarnish that experience. It's like they want to make a fancy theatre but run it like a low budget one.

When IPIC first came to the River Oaks shopping district, it was marketed as this new fancy theatre & dining experience like none other, and honestly it felt that way. Place had almost a fancy steakhouse dinner vibe. Dimmed lights, quiet ambience, classy decorations, etc. It really up'd the movie dining experience to a whole new level. But as the years went on, things started to change. For example, fast forward to 2020-2021, you can see a lot of cost cutting happened at the expense of the fancy theatre experience.

They cut the movie ticket cost. This is a good thing, but unfortunately, it also made the experience going a lot less special because a lot of things started to suffer. They stopped offering free popcorn with the ticket. They said they removed the cost of the popcorn off the ticket to make it more attractive, but come on. If someone was worried about paying $7 more for popcorn, I HIGHLY doubt they'd pick IPIC to watch a movie when they can go to AMC and watch it for $10, because even with the popcorn removed, it's still 2x more than AMC for a ticket. If someone's going to IPIC, they aren't just going for a movie. They're going to have an experience they can't get any where else at a theatre. Small inconvenience, but they use to give pillows and a blanket per seat and I believe they still do, but now YOU have to go get it at some cubby area in the lobby, versus having it already rolled and placed for you at your seat like previously. Again, not a big deal, but when we're talking about a high end experience, it's all about the details that make you stand out from the rest and I didn't think this would be that much of a cost saving.

I do love the seats. The private booth setups are awesome. So perfect for ppl that want to feel connected to the movie as much as possible without distractions. The seats aren't cleaned well though any more, maybe from the cost cutting. I typically find sticky spots on the seats, a couple of popcorn that fell into the cracks, and the cup holders are usually sticky and the wood/paint is typically is chipped off around it. Just looks worn out and bad.

The staff/customer service is decent. No real complaints, but it isn't anything special. They don't do anything above and beyond for you, but they also haven't been rude.

Food is decent, especially for theatre food. I think the prices are kinda high for what you get. If you're going to charge as much as you do and give as little, at least make them so delicious that it makes up for it.

Their bathroom is pretty nice. The best bathroom I've seen at a theatre. It's been clean every time I use it, and paper towels have always been plenty. I know it's kinda weird to bring that up, but a lot of bathrooms seem to never have any.

One of the biggest things that reinforce my point that IPIC is a wannabe fancy theatre but suffers from weird cost cutting/low budget problems is that their escalator is ALWAYS out. I know that's sounds a little exaggerated but hear me out. I went to watch Wonder Woman in Dec. 2020 and it was out. The next time I went was in Sept. 2021 and it was out. Went back in Nov. 2021 and it still out. Their manager reached out to me because I made a comment about this on their survey, and he says they've fixed it and it's back up. Went back again Dec. 16,2021 and guess what? It was out. Went back again Dec. 24,2021 and I kid you not-it was OUT. I wish I could remember that manager's name because I'd call you out on that bullsh*t because I know it was never fixed and it's been over a year.
Dec. 2023 I no longer come here as it's gotten worse as an establishment.

I need to take a moment and thank Andre and his team for the incredible hospitality and service. Andre is an incredible manager!

Best theatre in Houston by far. There is no going back to AMC after the experience.

I went to see Equalizer 3. I appreciated the level of cleanliness and the freshness of their food. The love seats were very comfortable. The movie was a good family must see.

I really like this place. They serve alcohol in the theater, along with sides or a full course meal so you can eat and drink like in a restaurant, while you watch your movies. This place will spoil you! It's a bit pricey but the comfy, and intimate nature of the chairs makes up for the cost. Parking is a bit weird, I usually park in the building on the upper decks and take the elevator down to the entrance - but parking is free!

Be aware! Keep photos of your receipts as their employees are trying to steal extra money as a “tip” just had to spend over an hour filing a claim to dispute this charge. Shady things going on here.

The team gives exceptional service! I love coming here it’s my favorite theater! I had tried one of their seasonal ciders and I was trying to research it and couldn’t find it. I called and the manager went out of their way to track down the drink I had ordered! They are all wonderful and professional I have never had a bad experience here!

Honest opinion about this one. It was expensive. Around 50 dollars for the night movie. Close to 80 dollars for food for just my wife and I. However I see why. The seats almost felt like VIP seats. By far the classiest theater I have been to. Keep the good work

Great staff but OVERPRICED! Expensive tickets, food was bleh for their price, and parking too? Worst dine-in theatre experience in all of Houston. Never again. Don't recommend.

This place is great. Pod type seating and the seats recline all the way back and you get a blanket to keep warm. Pizza and wings were tasty, worth they price for me.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND WASTING YOUR MONEY AND BE TREATED A CERTAIN WAY:

I used to go here when it first opened, and the experience was great. Unfortunately today, the customer service and hospitality was extremely unwelcoming due to the fact that I had a little food item with me that came from somewhere else. It was just a tiny macaron in a container. The lady who sold tickets and a manager were up front and informed rules and regulations about not bringing food into their theatre. We totally get it. We understand that part. However, although We spent over $50 for our tickets, we didn't like how we were treated by their communication and delivery of the information. So we decided a refund. Although they were being professional, it was very insensitive, condescending, and even the manager shrugged his shoulder with the gesture of "oh well". We could've gone somewhere else such as AMC with recliners, spent way less, have better respectful and kind service instead. It is not ok to treat others like that, and wished it could've been handled differently with more kindness to it. I wouldn't go back after that. I would rather go places where it's worth spending being treated, nicely, respected, and appreciated in general.

I have been a loyal customer at ipic, one of my favorite movie theaters, for a span of 7 years. However, on 11/15/23, I encountered an unpleasant situation with a manager named Anna. It happened when I intended to grab a drink with my friend before entering the movies. However, Anna prevented me from entering, stating that I needed to buy a drink before entering first. Despite explaining to her three times that I was a well-known patron and simply needed to use the restroom before enjoying some food and drinks, she disregarded my pleas and called security on me, ultimately declaring that I was unwelcome at the establishment. This was an entirely new experience for me, as I had never encountered such disrespect from a manager during my entire 7-year tenure as a customer.
