Island Getaway Rum, Dripping Springs TX

We absolutely love this place. It’s a hidden little jam between Oak Hill and dripping Springs. They offer a variety of seating options inside and outside. The drink menu is extensive and I love the menu with pictures of your drink. The staff is super friendly. This is definitely going to be a new favorite.

I had a lovely time during a group event. I was particularly fond of the dark rum. I highly recommend the Rum Old Fashioned. Well done

The rums are amazing (not your typical tropical sweet runs, but we’ll-thought and crafted).

Cool place! Too bad you can’t buy bottles on Sunday. We’ll be back when the weather is hotter. We liked the Purple Cove, Pain Killer, and the Tiki Twist featuring their seasonal cordial. Staff was exceptional. Can bring your pup too but have to stay out on the porch; too windy/cold today to bring ours.

Covid during times of Covid high rum distillery is not open every day. When it is open which I believe is Wednesday through Sunday they open at 1 PM so be sure to come after that or you will find the gate closed. We arranged it to arrive at 1 PM so that I could purchase a bottle of rum I had right about the different varieties and wanted to purchase a bottle of the spiced rum which I did for $30.31 taxes and fees included. Can’t wait to try it!
I believe they are doing tours of the distillery and you can sit outside and sip a nice drink on Fridays and Saturdays, maybe Sundays. I would definitely call first. They are very nice. I met the owner distiller, I think he said his name was James but it was hard for me because he had a mask on as did I and I’m not really clear when I can’t see as people are speaking. By the way they have brand new chairs that look very comfortable and plenty of space outside for social distancing. Masks are required. I would love to return for a drink tomorrow but we will be heading home so since I don’t drink and drive that is not a possibility this time.
I would encourage you to stop by and treat yourself to some delicious local rum!
They are working on pineapple and coconut flavors that have not been released yet but I can’t wait to try them! Normally the hubby and I are not big drinkers but I must say Covid has pushed me a little further than my norm! And if I’m going to imbibe I am going to support local as much as possible!

Oh my! Painkiller was amazing and my husband loved his mojito! Drive up service due to Covid but well worth the stop.

Wow! I want to start of with I’m the daughter and wife of avid rum drinkers we literally plan vacations around country’s that produce rum. Hye does not disappoint one of the best pina coladas and dark rums I’ve ever tried in the states!

My friend and I made an out of the way trip over there and were not disappointed. James, the distiller, and his staff were very courteous and took care of us, even though it was busy and they were closing for movie night. The flavor choices were varied, and each was great. The pricing was good for the quality of the product.
Will definitely be back to get more and try his new creations.

This company is the absolute best! Hye Rum is coming to the rescue for our community and front line healthcare workers by making hand sanitizer and then GIVING IT AWAY while footing the entire bill. What a selfless act of kindness! I am ordering some rum ASAP! I wish them all the success in the world!

Great experience all around. Enjoyed their piña colada’s and the hurricane. Definitely worth a stop. Will definitely be back.
