I always have a great experience with everyone who are not only so friendly and professional but really know their job.

Honestly, I am a very hard person to please…I am a tough critic when it comes to any establishment I spend my money at. However, this place is top tier and has earned my business for the foreseeable future.

Very professional dental office. My Dental hygienist, Ebony, was awesome, she had a nice touch to her procedure, was concerned about my comfort and she was funny, very social. She was very professional, she is the best.

New to the area and after having the same dentist for over 20 years, I was concerned about finding a new dentist.tried another dental office and very disappointed, found J & A and sofar, so good. Time will tell but a much better feeling with J & A

Extremely poor billing and service. I gave two dental plans for service and a Cigna savings plan. I spent over two hours finding a dentistry that subscribes to all three. My primary insurance did not cover the new films because they were done less than one year from before. J&A does not accept films taken from another dentist. However, my secondary dental would have covered the charges but they set me up with a dentist that does not subscribe to my secondary insurance. Other dentists in the dentistry do subscribe to Aetna. As a new patient with my insurance cards before an appointment, they should have told me that they made an appointment with a dentist who does not subscribe to my secondary insurance and the films will not be covered until one year has passed. They have sent me two bills for the same amount of money with no details or dates of service almost a year after my appointment claiming to pay immediately as I am past due. I wonder by looking at State statutes if they can send bills with no details or dates of service and charge full amounts even though they did also know I had a savings plan that listed them as subscribers at the time I fist saw them. They say they do not accept the savings plan anymore, but at the time of service they were listed as accepting. This is the worst service and absolutely does not sit well with me. I feel cheated. They should have told me up front as a new patient that they are setting me up with a dentist in their office that does not subscribe to my secondary plan and the primary plan will not cover films and new patient exam until a year has passed from the last time I had those done. I then could have made a different desicion.

In response to the owner comment below. No, I do not believe that is a true statement. Several appeals for insurance were not filed, I checked and I filed one with Humana. Your office did not acknowledge or file with Aetna until after 8/23/2023. Both insurance cards were given before the Oct 31 visit and the dentist I asked for was on both plans as in network, but I was given Dr Colin as first available. When you took the 44.00 copay from my insurance, you verified coverage. You never told me that a part was not covered and I would have to pay the cost or wait the year for the films and cleaning. You assigned me Dr. Colins knowing I have two plans for in network. I do not feel that your office staff care about patient finances or surprise bills almost a year later. I do not understand why your staff were not up front about both insurance and costs before treatment. You are also billing for more than the charges. On the Humana claim you billed 296.00 for films and new patient oral exam. You are billing me 426.00. Do you not know which doctors in your practice subscribe to Aetna and which ones do not? If you set me up with the doc who accepts Aetna, you would have been paid for films and new patient oral exam from my dental insurance. I do not see any other filings and I spoke to Aetna today. You billing is deplorable because not doing due diligence in verifying two dental insurance plans leaves the atient stuck with a surprise bill that could have been avoided. I feel like you do not care bacuse your staff leaves me the impression you can just stick the patient with whatever costs in the end.

From Doug Ragsdale:
So enjoyed the professionalism and proficiency of Shelly and Dr Colin. Best decision I’ve made in a while to switch to J n A

I tried to go here for a regular cleaning appointment, I was rescheduled once already with this office. I was then asked to reschedule again which I could not because I had other plans already set for earlier in the day. An hour before my appointment I received a text saying "Your appointment is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. "

Since the office had tried to reschedule this just the day before, I have a very hard time believing anything was unforeseen. I would prefer they just told me straight rather than sending a text lying about an emergency evacuation. I'll be going elsewhere.

The staff here are impeccable! I had been Dentist shopping for one that did IV Sedation as I needed a lot done at one time. Dr. Colin was very welcoming and knowledgable. Answered every question I had and even with all my allergies to medicines and seizures I felt comfortable to put my mouth in his hands. After two procedures my teeth look INCREDIBLE! I could not be happier. 10 out 10 seriously! Highly highly recommend. Very reasonably priced as well.

He also doesn’t charge for you to come in after you’ve had a procedure done if you have concerns or need to have something filed down.

Wow! I will preface this review by saying I am *terrified* of going to the dentist. I had a traumatic experience when I was 14, and it shook me, sadly. So, while I go, to stay on top of my oral hygiene (and because it impacts my heart health, etc), I always dread it.

My visit last Friday was fantastic. From being seen within a few minutes of filling out paperwork, to the caring, down-to-earth attitudes, conversations, and explanations, to how my mouth felt when I left, I was so happy. I have never left the dentist and raved to my family, but I did that day (they were shocked). Felicia, Sarah, Dr. Chhabra, and Evanee were all rockstars!

My only advice for new patients:
1. Know that they use a 3rd party scheduler for the first appointment, which is more of a consultation, where your xray and scan are done. The cleaning is then supposed to be scheduled as a follow-up appointment. I have always had both rolled into one appointment, but they were able to fit me in for the cleaning due to an afternoon cancellation. No biggie, just good to know.
2. Arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out the paperwork.

:) Thank you again, J&A team!

The front office can’t confirm appointments and will not call to confirm them. Also they claim that the patient called to cancel the appointment but that never happened. They are not reliable.

I went to this place because they were in network for my dental insurance. I was there because they recommended I get about 7 crowns.
I guess it was a red flag when my for first appointment I waited over an hour. No one greeted me or even talked to me when I signed in. The waiting room was full, then emptied out.
When after an hour and am only person in waiting area, I went up to the receptionist desk and I asked how long I would have to wait. Then I was treated even worse by receptionist.
Got the crown. I had problems with crown surface being rough and made an appointment. They changed and rescheduled that appointment for some reason.

I returned asking them to smooth the surface of the crown after about a month of it bothering me. Again, waiting over 30 mins and approached receptionist since the waiting room was empty.
They said "They will be right with you. "
They set me up in a room and say the dentist will be right in. A dentist I have never seen before.
Finally, I get to see the dentist who put the crown on.
The dentist told me that that’s the way it was supposed to be, instead of listening to what I was saying, they spent 15 mins convincing me that it was how it was supposed to be.
Very chaotic and confusing office.
From reading the reviews, I guess some people get treated better. Maybe it was because I used insurance?
I don't know.
The didn’t seem to communicate well with each other or me.
Worst ever experience in dental office!

Going to a new dentist is never easy. It can be frightening and overwhelming…My first visit was this week.
First impressions were—office was clean and beautifully decorated. Atmosphere was very welcoming. The staff were polite and knowledgeable. I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Nitya Chharbra. She was warm and caring. I appreciated her honesty. She understood my fear and was compassionate during our conversation about my options. All of the staff I interacted with were a joy. My family and I will be returning.

I tried to call several time, left voicemail but no one seemed to be returning phone call. I was trying to book a cleaning appointment. I have been with J&A for a little bit. Recently I can’t contact the office.

Thought I’d finally found a good dental practice in Kyle. I was happy with Dr. Collin, however clearly they have a lot of bugs to work out in their practice.
After receiving incessant text messages confirming an appointment ON A DAILY BASIS, I opted out of their text messaging service. That was replaced with daily SPAM EMAILS, reconfirming the appointment which had been confirmed NO LESS THAN 5 times each via text and email. Today, I went in to find out that my already confirmed appointment had been cancelled because they sent a FINAL CONFIRMATION EMAIL on Friday, 01/27 at 11am stating that I had until 1pm to confirm AN APPOINTMENT WHICH HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY CONFIRMED NO LESS THAN 10 TIMES or it would be cancelled. So, my appointment was cancelled, BUT they apologized that they were aware of the issues with their text and email service. So, will NOT be returning to J & A Dental!
