James Kelleher, M.D. reviews
18Nobody likes to go to the Dr but Dr Kelleher and his staff are prompt and accurate and I for one appreciate being able to have an appointment where things get done.
While Dr. Kellerher is kind and does listen to me when we talk, I am concerned with office procedures. I had a generic blood draw and urinalysis done on Jan. 26. My appt was Feb. 9. In between those dates I came down with a UTI. The office did not notify me. Upon arrival for my appt. I explained to the nurse that I was sure I had a UTI. She requested a urine sample. Dr. Kellerher came in and said the sample that day was not needed as they already knew I had a UTI. If that was the case why was I not notified? I had to wait two weeks to be informed? I don’t consider this good care or good office procedures! I am thinking no one looked at my results in between to verify that all was well. Again not good office procedures.
My doctors appointment was on time. The staff was courteous and friendly. I have been a patient here for approximately 10 years and have always been treated well.
Dr Kelleher is good, but very busy. Had to wait way to long to see him. After arriving 15 mins early for appt still took an hour and half.
Well my appointment was at 10: 30 so I arrived 10 minutes early. I was called back about 10: 45 put in an exam room nurse took my blood pressure asked a few questions which took about 2 minutes at the most and then sat there for another 35 minutes until
I opened the door and asked “will I be seeing a dr today”? I was not happy.
The reason I made an appointment because they wouldn’t refill my blood pressure medication without setting up an appointment so I was out of bp medicine for a couple days.
I spent a total of about 5 minutes between the nurse and dr.
$110 for visit that’s about $660 an hour.
Just to get a refill.
Ridiculous
Ive been seeing Dr Kelleher since 2006. Ive never had any problems with him or his staff.
He and his staff are very professional and i would highly recomend them
I really like James Kelleher. He's a great doctor. Helps me with my needs. The staff is very loving & caring as well. I couldn't ask for a better doctor.
They want people to wear masks but they don’t wear them correctly. My well check up consisted of my test results being read to me. No physical exam, I would’ve appreciated at least my thyroid being checked since they were prescribing medicine for it.
Great communication and very professional. Does beautiful work, I couldn't be happier with the results.
The office lacks interactive documentation. Office staff is unprofessional and do not have appropriate communication skills.
This is literally the worse doctor I have ever encountered in my life. Just wow. I have no words, I will not be back!
The office is Genuinely polite and helpful which is important and not Universal. The doctor explained everything in detail and answered all my questions. Which is also very important. I had to change Doctors because of insurance and I’m glad it happened.
Dr. Kellerher was on time for the appointment and friendly. He reviewed our concerns and made useful suggestions. I
Dr. Kelleher is probably one of the best doctors in many years that I’ve ever seen well I need a surgery he recommended he is taking care of every part of my medical needs that I’ve ever needed and my children to I recommend him highly
Dr. Kelleher is a very knowledgeable and kind physician. He explains things clearly and is thorough in his questions. He also is quick to refer you to a specialist when necessary.
Dr. Kelleher,
I have only seen Dr. Kelleher twice so far, but I'm impressed he read the notes in my file and then did a physical exam just to be sure and made his own observations. He is very though row.
He actually listens to his patients and does everything he can to keep them healthy.
His staff is excellent, cheerful and try to make them comfortable and hopefully make them smile.
My very first appointment there I was told to come 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork, so I did so. After filling out paperwork I waited an hour after my appointment in the lobby before being seen. Then when brought back the nurse that brought me back seemed frazzled and was rushing me while I was explaining why I was there. And then once seeing the doctor it seemed like he had zero interest into helping me or even listen to me. I was prescribed a medication and after trying it for a week and found it didn’t help I had to call back a minimum 10 times, majority of the time called the nurse line and it would just ring and ring until finally just hanging up and finally after almost another week I was able to get the doctor to even look into giving me a different medication. I understand everywhere is short staffed and we need to give grace to health care workers but it’s extremely disheartening to be shown zero care or interest by your pcp and nurses.
This was my first office visit with the doctor. I had to make a list of all my prescriptions. One included a prescription for my hydrocodones for back pain that I’ve had for almost 20 years. I have been taking 6 a day for several years now. At one point Dr Kelleher stated, “ Just because you tell me that you take 10 a day doesn’t mean I’m going to give you 10 a day. Why he had to exaggerate the amount, was very embarrassing. I wore a badge for 25 years and my body took a beating and now I’m paying for my work. This is medicine that was prescribed to me from my doctor back in Idaho. I didn’t dictate to the doctor which kind or amount of any of my medications that I take. I will go back again for my next appointment, but if he continues to talk down to me, it will be my last visit with him.
