4This park is big, and equipped with a playground, Volleyball court and plenty of shade and water.
The park is nice but the graffiti is not, I had to leave the play area because of my smaller children that can read. Very vulgar. Nice if your an adult with a dog or just jogging.
Jan Jennings park is playa-centric park shaped like Italy or horse's hind leg in profile view. It has a paved ~1 mile walking/jogging path on the south side and a playground near the middle (near 78th Street). This is a popular spot for evening sports practices for youngsters during the school year. If it rains heavily, expect mosquitoes a few days later. But the city takes care of it! Joggers may note the park's ~1.65 mile circumference. I dare you to jog here on a Saturday morning in the summer and not get hungry from the smell of Rosa's Tortilla Factory across 82nd Street.
I love the one mile walking trail at Jan Jennings Park. The leaves are starting to change colors, and it is just beautiful.
