Jay's Car Wash/ self service reviews
18The best car wash in the whole county. Always well maintained, wash timers are very good and there are plenty of slots. It is busy on weekends but worth the wait.
The attendant did an amazing job while we we're there he keeps everything organized and clean. We will be back soon for that reason. We went around 10pm on sunday
Staff was present, helpful and very friendly. Everything was stocked and working correctly, vacuums were clean and had powerful suction. This is literally the best self-serve car wash I've ever been too.
I been coming here the past 2 years, it was good, now the water pressure is low in all of the bays.that sucks
I've been going here for so long, I couldn't tell how many years it's been. They always keep property clean and machines in good working order at any time of the day.
Much to like about this small self-service facility. All equipment was in good working order. Plenty of water pressure and vacuums were sufficiently powerful. Lots of trash receptacles and the grounds were clean and tidy. Car product vending was a little lacking, so make sure to bring your own glass cleaning items.
I'm a long-time Live Oak resident who always recommended this car wash to neighbors and friends. I'm not sure what's happened with this car wash, it used to be the best in town with hot water, high pressure, clean bays, and an attentive owner. Today something is very wrong with the water pressure, there's no hot water and not even warm water spraying, and it's very dirty in the bays and where the vacuums are located. There's also always an orange cone or 2 in the bays and not during cleaning which is a red flag that I should have paid more attention to because my credit card was over-charged once in error and one of the machines in the bay ate my quarters and never came on. I do not recommend stopping here, it's gone downhill.
Somewhat disappointed. Took a little longer for the water pressure to engage after pressing on the handle. A few times when turning the knob it didn't dispense the right liquids. I been here a few times before and never had these issues.
Top class carwash, got my dirty car very clean and coat exactly what I had Anticipated. Very clean and well kept area and equipment.
Just going to be honest! This place a few years used to be really good and it was by far one of my most favorite car washes. Today when I went there the pressure seems kind of weak the wash with soap was cold water instead of hot water and there was barely any soap coming out of it. Kind of reminded me of the days when my brother and I were kids and my brother would wash and I would rent and I would always tell him you're not using enough soap and your water isn't hot enough LOL but other than that it's still a somewhat decent car wash. If they could just address those two minor issues this place would be freaking awesome, but who knows there was a lot of cars there and I'm sure hot water is hard to maintain
Did have a good experience this time. The sprayer was leaking tier cleaner and the vacuum i drove up to was out of order
Well kept self wash.sometimes there are cars waiting.usually takes 2 cycles for me to clean my van, but I'm awlful at keeping her clean. Vacuums cost.
Visited Jay's Car Wash during lunch after reading several reviews that it accepted a credit card. One swipe and a few dollars gets you about 7 minutes of wash time which was just about enough time required to wash my car, although I did have to add two quarters to get some spot-free wash time. The covered vacuum/cleaning areas provide adequate shade for a quick dry. Looking forward to coming back weekly.
This is our favorite car wash! We go out of our way to come here. The owner keeps it kept up very nicely - it's clean, well lit, and the machines are in good condition.
Place is very well taken care of. Used the scented spray, but they could fill the canisters up, not much choice of scent and it didn't seem to work right. The vacuums seem to work well. Very good suction and the timing is good. Would return again.
. 75 to vacuum, use air freshener. There is a shampooer for the interior. Multiple bays for washing vehicles. Very clean.
Hands down the best do it yourself car wash on this side of town. It's always clean and very well lit at night. The machine don't steal your quarters. The water pressure is great and the soap is the right consistency from the brush. And the bays are nice and wide for trucks.
This place appears to be well taken care of and everything in the stall I used worked. The high pressure wash is no joke. Much better than an automated wash at a much lower price.
