Sometimes he's caring and sometimes he's not. It's very hard to get into see home and I feel he doesn't always listen. He's more hands off.

Myself and my wife are patients of Dr. Edwards and we have never had an issue with him or his staff. His office is very convenient to where we live.

Dr. Edwards is a sorry excuse for a doctor. I hope he loses his medical license. Don’t let your loved ones go to him unless you want them to die.

Edward so rude to patient in Dr office and not treat patient at all. Dirty to patient at all. No thanks to you Edward.

Dr Edwards took care of my father while he was on call, in the room acted like we were family and not just another patient. Hes caring, knowledgeable, and goes and goes the extra mile for his patients. Fantastic doctor!

Dr. Edwards is one of the best physicians I have ever had. He and his staff have always been super courteous and done their very best to take care of any of my needs including pulling strings to get me into a surgeon faster when I had a gall stone blocking my bile duct.top notch care!

The point is to not be late. This is a courtesy if you are 5 min late then the next appointment from being pushed back and so on and so on. He as a good Dr please do not bash the Dr for your being late.

They say if your late they will cancel your appointment. I waited for 1hr after scheduled appointment and no one came out to inform me they were running behind or would I like to reschedule. I left after I was given back my co pay.

I fired Dr. Edwards today. I’ve only seen him once before and didn’t appreciate his personal demeanor. I was 4 minutes late and the lady at the front started discussing how I was 5 minutes late. I had just been released from Hendrick for a 5 day stay in the hospital for seizures on Saturday and had to wait on my wife to take me because I can’t drive anymore. We also had a 4 year old and 2 month old in tow. The receptionist was rude, the lady behind her was rude, the office manager was rude and I don’t need to be treated like I’m just a piece of meat. I was a patient, and patients shouldn’t be treated like they are in a mill. I won’t recommend him as it was made clear that it was his decision not to see me.

Dr. Edward's is very personable, appears knowable and to have a level of due care, However a bit concerned with focus always a pill. I understand most internist focus medication and that's just concerning.

My wife had spinal surgery at Hendrick hospital and suffered a staph infection at the wound site. She got sicker by the day and Dr. Edwards never detected it. On the last visit, I actually had to take her into his office in a wheelchair as she was too weak to walk. Despite some lab tests taken several days before her appt. Which showed her white count to be double the normal limit, he totally failed to recognize her grave condition. The next day she couldn't get out of bed and I called an ambulance. She was close to death.
She was hospitalized for 60 days, then in SNF for another 45 and still suffers from the sepsis.

I have found Dr. Edward's to be very straightforward and caring. His office is efficient. As an internal medicine specialist, he sees me not for acute care but to monitor my general health and I have not tried to see him for other reasons such as a sinus infection, etc. I have been very impressed with him and hope he stays in Abilene.

My wife is a patient of Dr Edwards he was able to diagnose her pretty quick for her pains and gave meds and told her if pain persisted to call him I know he doesn't necessarily take the calls himself but nobody called us back and when we went up to the office to 20 mins before closing time the lady I believe her name was Nancy was rude and said nothing they could do because everyone had already gone home but it never fails even when we have an appt that is always rude like if it bugs her to do her job. I believe that office would definitely be better if they hired more compassionate professionals to work the front desk that have some type of clue when people come into their office in pain and not try to shoo them away.

Dr. Edwards is very professional with excellent bedside manners and communication skills with both the patient and family. He keeps you informed and explains things so that non-medical people are easily able to understand. He is conscientious and really cares. We highly recommend him!

Will see you for checkups, but has a problem seeing patients when they are actually sick. Another doctor chasing the Medicare cash cow. Went in with Strep Throat and he refused to see me.
12-7-2018 Went to his office about 10: 00am to try to push my Monday appointment to Friday because I was having Strepp symptoms. Sever bloody mucus the size of silver dollars. Was told by office staff I would have to wait till Monday.
12-10-2018 Went for my 3: 15 pm appointment and was late by 5 minutes because of traffic driving across town. Was refused the visit and told to reschedule by office staff.
I have one measure of what a good doctor is. That is how good they make it a point to see their patients and to help them when they need help and not by a schedule. I had this talk with Edwards when I first saw him. He assured me this was not the case with his office considering the past failing of previous doctors I've had in town. Being that I am involved in training BMS students, Edwards is not the type I would write a reference for. You can't be in this job for money and this is obviously a practice after the Medicare and Insurance copay money. Very rare to find anything in Hendrick Health System that isn't.
