Johnson's Rock Shop, Livingston TX

Love this place. Been there alone and have taken Grandchildren. Grandchildren even want to go back. We will be going back. Individuals are very helpful and informative.

Went there from a TikTok post I had seen on my fyp and decided to make the journey to see everything. The roads are dirt but it easy to find since there are markings on the trees saying Rock Shop. If you are from out of town like I was, you will be able to smell the pine trees which makes the experience even more great. There are different little shops to look in ranging from stones, crystals and fossils. They even have a blacksmith shop if you are looking to customize! The prices are very reasonable for every piece. A small smooth crystal starts at 25 cents. A part of a geode can be $5. The people there were kind and very helpful! The place just has a very nice calming homey vibe. Will be going back again in the future!

This is a great place esp for kids. An unbelievable amount rocks and gems to see. Even a small museum there. It's a bit off the beaten path but definitely worth it. My kids have not stopped talking about all the things they got for their $5.

This place is a HIDDEN TREASURE! My family had a blast and we came home with some nice pieces for little money. We bought a geode and they cut it in half for us! Came out beautiful! Very pleased! 10/10 Worth the trip!

Beautiful store! They have a bunch of different rooms to go into, I wasn't able to pay anything because they only take cash or check not card. Definitely will be returning! They have everything from giant chunks of crystals to small tumbled Crystals to fossils and shells and jewelry, absolutely amazing!

I love going to see Mr. Johnson and his sweet family! We have been there over the years several times and it's like the first time everytime. It's like going to grandma and grandpas house.cozy, family friendly, and all sorts of things to look at and get into! The prices of items are great and budget friendly for anyone!

Interesting place to see a wide variety of collectable rocks and minerals. Prices range from $0.25 to $1200.00, or rocks by the pound. It's fun to just look around the various rooms. The shop has lots of character.

My wife and I took our three grandkids to Johnson's Rock Shop recently. We have a ranch near there, but had never been. Just something we had never found time to do until earlier this month. It is definitely off the beaten path. You have to drive down several different little gravel roads. However, even without GPS you should be able to find your way, as there are yellow signs posted all along the way to guide you. We were more than surprised by the size of this enterprise. While no showroom is really large, there are a lot of them. It takes quite a while to see everything. We found so many beautiful rocks! Our grandkids had the greatest time picking out what they would spend their money on. I felt sorry for Mr. Johnson, having to deal with those kids and all their mind-changing. But I'll have to say, he was very good natured about it and told me it happened quite often. If you have any interest at all in beautiful stones, gems, etc, this is an amazing place to visit. As has been pointed out by others, I think it's cash and check only.definitely no credit cards. However, there is an ATM machine in the little convenience store at the entrance to the subdivision. If you go, I'm sure you'll find some interesting treasures that you can't live without.

Oh my gosh I was very impressed.we took our grandchildren and it was their first experience with rocks.they loved walking around the buildings and property.
The prices are so affordable and its a good thing that they don't take credit cards.only checks and cash.

I love this place friendly peaceful place the atmosphere the family is very friendly and welcoming my six year old loves going there.

The staff is very friendly and super helpful, I've learned more about rocks in there than at school. The rocks and jewelry are beautiful, this is my second time there and I will keep going and inviting family to go there too. This place is amazing for buying little gifts to giant surprises.

This place is awesome! A very wide selection of rocks/crystals! Reasonably priced! It's such a cool place to just wander around!

This is an amazing hidden treasure that should be checked out if you have a love for nature and her beauties. There are so many different stations to check out you should plan for a full day of educational fun exploring everything there is to offer.
