Jones Halal Fried Chicken reviews
25Dry chicken and mediocre everything else. Nothing is worth the price and the weird incandescent lighting combined with tall white walls with metal tables kinda looked like a prison. Of the fries, chicken, and chili cheese dogs we tried there was nothing that wasn't done better and cheaper anywhere else. Really not worth it. Originally we tried to order burgers but were told they were out. After our meal we saw them give burgers to customers that had come after us. Would not come back even if the food was free.
Horrible sales people.horrible behavior.now everything u have to buy separate from here.tastes rediculas.
Quick lunch and it sure came through. Good flavor on this chicken gyro. The location could use some TLC but I mean couldn't we all. ️
The fried chicken is the best I've had in Houston! Well worth the price! Lamb over rice was good too.
Very good food very clean and know how to talk to people I will go back for more and will take family and friends
These new employees really dont make the food how they used too, this place used to be good, but now they barely put any meat or sauce on amything, smh.
We've been to this place many times since 2014 and watched it go downhill over the years. Tho it wasn't the most gorgeous looking building back then but it definitely brought out the dingy NYC vibe however alot of the good employees have left. Though the place has gotten a facelift, the newer cashiers especially the Cuban guy with long hair tries to be nice but it's clear being overworked can result in a brash attitude towards customer. Recently I visited again only to see the prices for my favorite items are higher, I ordered the lamb over rice, a old time favorite, and the bowl was noticably smaller than before. Higher prices for a smaller bowl size? Now that's a turn off. The regular bowl size is even smaller than the ones you can get at Halal guys or Gyro Republic.
The cashier was very friendly and put extra sauce on top of the rice when I asked at the drive thru. The dine in lobby is completely closed so it's drive thru only, and they also do not take phone orders.
I doubt I will be returning here especially if I'm passing by on the metro bus.
My favorite Halal place to eat. Recommend the beef kabob 1/2 spicy 1/2 yellow rice extra tezeki sauce. Yumm soo good!
Food is awesome.
Great price.
Customer service is not good, I'd say that people who take your order are very rude, they seem unhappy with what they are doing and look at the customer as a burden.
Speed of serving food is a bit slow but not very slow.
But food is awesome!
I'm from NYC & this spot is absolutely fantastic! Just like street food back east. I will be back.
The food was very good but the service was not that great, specially the person taking the orders on Sept 4 around 9: 45 PM
It was good.but dont ever tell them you want spicy fried rice because they make it crazy spicy.good food over all
This place used be a gem for halal food and specially chicken over rice. Their quality went down and service too. Visited recently and was taken by surprise as the food was fresh and hot. Seems like major improvement has been made.
I really like this place. Shrimp over rice is my personal favorite. I do wish they would partner with uber eats or something, I would love to have a delivery option.
Will definitely be back. Ordered the spicy chicken and a mixed lamb and chicken. It was pretty amazing. Q
This was my second time going the first time I ate the chicken over rice the rice wasn’t too good it left a bad after taste. And the customer service was terrible. Girl had a very bad attitude when asking her a question inquiring about the menu she frowned and responding very Rudely. The customer service was bad both times! You all need to hire new help because the current help is causing you to lose business!
Hands down the best lamb over rice in Houston! I got wings for the first time and it was delicious. Very flavorful.
Their food is nice.
But their customer service is very poor. The lady overcharged me $2. It must be a mistake. But when I was explaining her, she refused to accept.
Amazing food.but service and environment have declined recently staff is rude and arrogant and food wasnt fresh either
I ordered fried fish and shrimp last night and they over cooked my fish n shrimps so nasty n dry and it took them over 30mins for my order with only two customers including myself I hate the folks who work here now very slow and they work on their own time.
