My 16-year-old son arrived early for his appointment thinking he was doing a good thing. I was about 30 minutes behind him to handle the financial side. The front desk person refused to take any information from my son despite the fact that he has been a patient at the clinic multiple times in the past. He called me and when I explained that I would be there in about 30 minutes I was told that we would have to reschedule despite the fact that I would be there at the appointed time. They didn't even want my son in the waiting room until I was there. I have rarely felt so disrespected by someone that was supposed to be working in a service industry. I can't imagine what value she could possibly bring to an organization that is centered on supporting people during times of illness. The uncaring attitude of this employee has spoiled me against the clinic as a whole, especially as she disregarded my son's medical concerns in preference to her own ease of operation of the office.

This office denied refills on my medication I’ve been taking for blood pressure issues, wanting a another follow up when it was already evident on the last follow up the medication was working… I HAD a follow up scheduled for another issue in the next 2 days, and after trying to explain this to Jackie in this office she was rude and condescending.

This guy has to be the worse, his secretaries are obnoxious and even rude at times, their regards are not on the patents and appointments are almost impossible to get. This place seems more like a insurance scam then a doctors office. Save yourself some time and seek a real doctors office.

Dr. Alamo has been awesome the few times I have seen him.
His medical assistant, Jackie, is about as rude of a person I've had the displeasure of dealing with in the medical community and there have been many. I've been dealing with a lengthy and complex medical problem which I'm receiving care for by several doctors (most in larger cities). I was advised by Dr. Alamo during our last visit to see a gastroenterologist and to keep him apprised of the situation. I called Dr. Alamo's office to move my appointment while waiting on some test results ordered by my gastroenterologist in Dallas because it didn't make sense to go back before I had information to share. I didn't know I would still be waiting from October to nearly mid December for me to get an in-person appointment with the gastroenterologist. In fact I'm still waiting. My symptoms are getting worse by the day. I called Dr. Alamo to get an appointment to try to avoid going to the emergency room. They had his MA (Jackie) call me back. Before I could finish explaining the situation, she interrupted me, dripping with attitude about me not keeping my last appointment. I explained to her that I called and told her I had absolutely planned on coming back when I had new information. Also that I didn't think it would take this long or that my symptoms would be this bad while waiting. She asked what I wanted Dr. Alamo to do about it since he told me I needed to see a gastroenterologist. I told her about my partial small bowel obstruction and that there's chest pain, groin pain etc. She said (with all her medical training) that gi problems don't cause chest pain. I told her that isn't true. I gave her examples of reflux as well as SMA syndrome which is what was listed as a possibility on my CT enterography. I just wanted to find out from Dr. Alamo in his professional opinion if I should or even could wait to be seen by gi in February or if this could be more serious and needs to be addressed now. She said if I wasn't willing to see a gastroenterologist here locally, she didn't see the point in passing my message to Dr. Alamo. That shouldn't be her call. I don't have the money with all my other medical bills to just go to the emergency room. That's why I wanted Dr. Alamo's professional opinion. Instead I was treated so disrespectfully and dismissed by his assistant who apparently is acting more like the gate-keeper rather than a medical assistant. I hope nothing bad happens to me while I'm waiting to see a specialist. I doubt I'll be setting foot in his practice again because of her.
