Jorges Cafe, Odessa TX

I don’t know what happened to this place but the food quality has really gone down. I took my clients in to eat here on 5-18-23. The server brought out the salsa and the salsa had a fly in it. I should have left at that point but I didn’t, then we got our food and one of my clients had tacos and there was long hairs inside of the tacos. Also the fajitas I ordered were over cooked and crispy (hopefully they were fajitas). I will not be going back to this nasty place again.

I called in order and got it all wrong and spent more than what I thought and
didn't get what I wanted

My husband and I both had weight loss surgery. We came to eat with 3 other adults. They absolutely REFUSED to let us order off the kids menu. We will never be back

We had a great night here The service was efficient but not annoying. We had chicken fajita salads that hit the spot and the margaritas would be worth the return on their own.

This spot never disappoints! If you want menudo or authentic tasting Mexican food, this is definitely the spot to go! We enjoy the chips and salsa a ton! Lol! The Crispy beef tacos are good! Quick service and pleasant atmosphere.

Seated within 5 minutes. Our drink orders were taken and when I received mine, the cup was dirty and I was able to scratch food off the inside with my straw. Gross! Anyway, ordered our food. Me and my daughter split the 2 taco 2 enchilada plate that came with rice and beans. My husband ordered the Chile Re. That was supposed to be fried. No. It was like a omelet with the Chile and chicken. My husband did not want a omelet! He ended up just eating the meat and Chile. He's now here at home eating more food because it didn't get full. When we got the ticket, I noticed I was charged $19 almost $20 for the plate me and my daughter split. I was very tired and wasn't even going to make a deal about it even though I wanted to. I love their tacos but I will not be going back. They have raised fbe prices waaaaay to high for the quality and quantity of food you get. I could've spent the same at another restaurant or less and actually got full.

They have been closed early the last 3 times we gone, even though the hours on the door said open during the times we went

It had been a while since I last visited Jorge's Cafe. Ever since COVID, their hours were sporadic and they seemed to always be closed. We were extremely pleased with the food and service we received a few days ago. I had the Tampico and everything was delicious, hot, and fresh. I was so hungry I forgot to take a photo! Service was great and fast, too!

I've been here many times. The food is always good. The service this time was pretty good. We enjoyed our meal and our time here.

Hadnt been in many years, but it was outstanding! Fantastic salsa and warm chips, really good rice, hard to find around here! Chicken tacos and enchiladas were well above average.

My second time at Jorge’s. I was very impressed on my first visit so I had to introduce my husband to this establishment. He loved the food just like I did. The service was excellent. The speed of service was excellent. The quality and taste of the food was excellent! My new go to Mexican food restaurant in Odessa, TX. I had no idea that this place existed. My daughter and granddaughter took me to Jorge’s for lunch. This place is awesome!

Went for lunch it was amazing food was great service did not miss a beat we loved it so excited we finally found a Mexican place to eat!

Got the fajita and chicken skillet. Came out smoking hot with a nice presentation. Food was good. Price is a bit high for Mexican food. Service was normal. Lighting was very dim, atmosphere was ehh. Overall it was ok.

Their food is usually really good only have one complaint this time and it wasn't as hot as it usually is when it comes out of the kitchen. Also the queso was not very warm at all we had to have them warm it up. So I was a little disappointed this go around.

Had the steak tampaquina. Not saying it was bad because it was horrible. I could smell the liquid smoke before the plate hit the table. Took it home and my dog thinks i tried to poison her

Food was good!
I wont be back because my party felt rushed to finish for our table the staff was conversing and pointing at our table three diferent times.
And came and picked up my friend's plate before he decided he was finished then brought our tickets while i still was eating all three of my enchiladas.
They were nice but were rushing us to finish 5 minutes after our food was brought!

I live in Leander, tx and when I come back to the Midland/Odessa area I always eat there and grab chips queso and hot sauce to bring back to Leander.their us no other Mexican restaurant that compares.love the food and the waiters are perfect

The food is always good and the staff is super friendly. Always enjoy stopping for a bite. The sopapillas with ice cream is always delicious.

Jorge's had always beefen a good place to eat. But the enchiladas are made out of Powder chili, not the real red hatch chili. ️. But my wife loves them anyway. I do recommend and you'll surely enjoy.
