Seafood Restaurant Joyce's reviews
14Everthything is outstanding! I usually get the redfish which I ask for blackened. The gumbo is authentic and outstanding!
Omg cutest neighborhood restaurant semi dressy but casual atmosphere. Feels like you are on boat eating delicious fresh fish.
This is a hidden gem! My mom and I meet for dinner here at least once a month. Sit at the bar! The service is impeccable and the food is phenomenal! This place knows how to do fish! Never overdone and always perfection and super delicious! And fresh fresh fresh EVERY TIME! We love this place!
Outstanding neighborhood eatery serving consistently good as seafood. And oh my soul, their desserts!
What a great meal for Houston Rest. Weeks! Perfectly cooked Branzino, lightly seasoned with shrimp sauce! Creamy tomato basil soup to start and The Best key lime pie! If you like seafood you must try Joyce’s for restaurant week!
First time here every one was so nice the hostess was very attentive the food was good got the red fish very tender no seasoning but good and tender I tried the cornmeal cat fish so good and fried shrimps good also I had a lemon drop martini very good they carry lots wines I not a wine person I will go there again if you in the area try them out
First time here & everything was delicious! We had 2 specials, snapper & halibut, & both were divine! The service was fantastic!
It's like an old speakeasy kind of bar from the 1960s. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
Came here on a whim, and I was pleasantly surprised. Wish I could remember exactly what I had, but it was cooked red fish with a cream sauce and sautéed spinach. Delicious.the service and ambiance was nice as well. I would recommend going here on a date night.
Great vibe, great service, great food.
Vibe: It seemed like every table knew each other. Is this the place everyone headed to on the weekend for dinner? Clearly, there were a lot of regulars which speaks to the food and service. It was like a small town experience except right in the heart of Houston.
It seemed liked an older crowd but there were families as well.
Service: The waitress was Dasha and she was spectacular. Not only was she checking on me but obviously paying attention to the tables around me and making sure everyone was happy with their experience.
Food: My meal was wonderful, no issues whatsoever.
Would I go back? Definitely. You should too.
Everybody was great! Daughter and I were celebrating good results from MDA. We enjoyed the lunch specials: crab cake salad, 1/2 oyster poboy, seafood gumbo, fancy coffee dessert drink, and two desserts (bread pudding and key lime pie). I lived in New Orleans for six years so I know good Cajun food. It was delicious though the poboy could have stood a few more oysters, but I’m not complaining!
Great place to meet old friends and eat good food. The service is excellent and very personal.
Ssshhhhh.don't tell anybody; it's a secret. Locals go to Joyce's because they have probably been going for decades. We stumbled upon Joyce's quite by accident.
I am certain (I spoke to owner) the restaurant is a well preserved 1990's bit of nostalgia.not much has changed.and maybe that is awesome.like the food.
You could pay a lot more.but you probably won't eat any better.
Go Here because it is local; family owned and yummy. It isn't hip; it isn't cool; it isn't going to show up in a magazine.bbbuuuttt. Service, food and drinks;
exceptional, terrific, delicious.
Just, please, ssshhhh.this should be our little secret.
