Juan in a Million reviews
30I enjoyed the food- large quantity and decent price. However, we live in a town where you can get breakfast tacos at every gas station with homemade tortillas. I would have enjoyed it quite a bit more if the tortillas were cooked. There was a wait- about 20 minutes for a Sunday- but they moved fast. I would go again.
Arrived at 7: 15 AM on Sunday, 7/4/21. Immediately seated. Ordered water, coffee, small Queso and the Don Juan breakfast taco. Terrific service. Checked on me often.
Queso arrived first. I ate about 1/3 of the cheese dip with the tortilla chips provided. And then my favorite arrived. The Don Juan breakfast taco. OMG! Amazing. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and cheese. So much bacon! I am a cheese lover so I immediately covered about half of the Don Juan with the Queso dip. Forget the tortillas provided, I ate my breakfast with a FORK! The Don Juan is am amazing breakfast selection. I could only eat about half of the meal. I took the remaining portion home in a take out container. I have breakfast tomorrow!
The photo is of the Don Juan after I covered about half of it with the cheese dip. Delicious.
I travel to Austin about twice a year from Houston. On any trip to Austin, Juan in a Million is a MUST for breakfast on the day I head back home. Just an amazing place with great staff and wonderful food.
Service was awful and food was cooked poorly. We got the Don Juan and we’re surprised at how awful it was. Also got a bacon egg and cheese, it was over $4 for a tiny taco. We ate here years ago and loved it but this visit will be our last. An absolute disappointment and left upset with the service and quality of the food.
Really bad service
Food terrible
Management unprofessional
But don't worry go to tacos Guerrero right on the corner
Miss Yolanda Guerrero she make handmake tortillas and amazing salsas and more chipper so delicious
Definitely we come back to Austin
Every time I visit Austin I have to go to Juan in a million. It is a must for anyone that loves breakfast. I got the Don Juan signature tacos and put myself in a coma after eating it. It was so delicious and filling. The outside seating is always nice even during a warm day. It can get really crowded so going early in the morning is preferred. If you are lucky, Don Juan himself will be there to greet you.
Food took forever to get to us but the service juan provides is in the name juan in a million. He greated me like he was my tio, made me feel like ive been there a hundred times despite it only being my first time! The food was well worth the wait, id do it all over again and wait longer and still be happy. Probably the best decision i made in austin that weekend!
Casual setting with delicious food and friendly wait staff. Enchiladas were amazing, as was the salsa, but my iced tea was teeth-hurtingly sweet.
An Austin institution. Don't miss this gem! Austinites love breakfast tacos and this place serves up some of the best. You can easily split the Don Juan for two.
First time here, after seen it on TV and they will not disappoint! Greeted with a hand shake from Juan himself is something my family hasn’t seen in a long time. Not to mention,
the food was amazing, we will be back!
thank you for your great service!
Stopped by for a late lunch. Free parking. The food was great, very reasonable prices, and Fabiola, our server, was awesome! Highly recommended!
Small hole in the wall with that authentic feel. Great service and food was excellent can't wait to go again
You know how it is. Best five dollar breakfast in town. It's super tasty and more than enough to fill you up all day.
The staff is nice and fast. You can get in and out in under 30 if you want to pop in and out quick.
Also, if the Juan is there make sure and shake his hand. He didn't win best handshake in Austin for nothing.
Juans is an Austin original that I've been a regular at my whole life. Not only the best hand shake in town but the wait staff is great food is great and I dare you to try more than one Don Juan.
No matter what you order you will leave full and happy with the choice of food u picked. We love this place, always treated with respect, prompt friendly service. Thats why they are Juan in a MILLION
Awesome TexMex place, very popular with locals. Be prepared to wait, but it’s worth it! Food is authentic and not expensive!
Go early morning to avoid the wait at prime times. It's the only non vegan place for several blocks in each direction. An oasis in a hipster desert.
My husband and I ate here this afternoon and got pretty severe food poisoning. Also, the food was pretty average. Even without the food poisoning I wouldn’t return.
Decent, ling likes but they move quickly. Standard Mexican cuisine, nothing special. They also have a bar.
Absolutely love Juan's! I've been going for about 9 years now and the ONLY thing I've ever had there was the Don Juan, because it's what they're known for, so why order anything else. If you ever happen to be in there while Juan is there, be prepared to receive the greatest handshake ever!
Such a great price for the amount of food you get! Getting the "Don Juan" Can easily be split with two people if you order extra tortillas. I always come back for the great service!
