Juicy's Soul Food Cafe reviews
17I’m a fan of Juicy’s since day one! The food is always on point. Unfortunately it is irritating because often I have to check my order because things may not be right. I was in a rush today and didn’t do it. That for me is really irritating because I don’t live close. For example Sunday I got the oxtails but my sides were wrong. I have to be honest as well the price of the oxtails is a little much for 3 oxtails. Sadly today before 2 pm there was no peach cobbler as well! I know things run out so I will chalk that up but there needs to be some quality checks before sending out food.
Juicy’s staff always greets me with the most kind and genuine customer service. Which is rare these days. The food is always hot, fresh and on point
I came in to food smelling good I heard about the soul food and I just had to try it out… I’ll definitely be back.thanks
I loved everything about this place! Black owned and operated! And the service was immaculate. Food was even better. Food came out piping hot! I knew it was made with love and care
Oh boy what a treat. PRICE IS VERY REASONABLE! I enjoyed every morsel of food and every drop of my Kool aid. Smothered pork chops. A+ yams and Mac A+ gravy and dressing A+ cornbread A+ I have zero complaints. Now everyone's experience might not be the same. The person I came here with said their food was just ok. They got fried porkchops and said they were overseasoned but they admitted the bite I gave them of my smothered porchops waa good. They said the Mac was just ok to them. I liked the Mac because it was perfectly seasoned perfectly aldente in texture and it had a nice cheesy flavor not mushy and watered down like a lot of restaurants do. They didn't like the mashed potatoes at all but can't remember their reason and they were disappointed the dressing had no onions or celery.so it just depends on the person's preference. I enjoyed it. Will be back.
Be warned though.
Bring cash or they also like many other places charge you more because of the credit card usage. There's a sign posted for it on the menu.
This is my go to spot for soul food near me. They serve you good sized portions and are reasonably priced. I can never finish all my food in one setting.
Our new favorite place to go. We will drive the 3 hours from OKC and wate it's for this food. So so so good. Every day of the week they have a new minnu
The customer service was perfect! I was a little disappointed in my food.
My chicken was fresh and hot, however it was bland. 4/10 (No seasonings)
Mashed potatoes 10/10
Mac and Cheese 8/10
Greens 6/10 to salty for me
Cornbread 4/10 I prefer sweet cornbread
I will give them another try. I came an hour before closing and didn’t get to try what I really wanted.
Great food for a great price!
You might have to wait, but the food is worth the wait! The fried cabbage is delicious!
First time having turkey wing omg Food was delicious some of the best of everything and very affordable.
I’ve been here two other times and the food was good enough to have me coming back. Today… not so much. The chicken was fried well but I’m positive they forgot to season it, it was so bland and disappointing especially after waiting 30 mins for fresh chicken. The turkey wings were dry. The dressing tasted like it was leftover from Thursday and reheated, very crumbly and didn’t taste fresh at all. They forgot 2 pieces of cornbread. The cabbage was good. I spent $80+ today and they won’t see any more of my money. That’s too much money to spend for poorly cooked food.
Hey guys! My family and I came in from Oklahoma City off the Amtrak for a day. A lady on the train told us about this place. Phenomenal food and customer service. Ms. Tonya was so nice and sweet. I even got to meet the owner Ms. Juicy herself! Highly recommend this spot. The best customer service I ever received! We will be back ladies.
I truly enjoy this gem of a spot with pool table, chess board cards and Super Delicious menu items. The meatloaf is on point. Ten outta Ten.
If you’re looking for a black owned, homemade cooked meal… look no further than juicy’s soul food cafe. The cabbage is out of this world good! Mac and cheese was cheesy throughout and their cornbread was sweet and golden, it could pass for cake… koolaid is sweet and syrupy. Give them a try and you won’t regret it.
This a local restaurant in my neighborhood. I went one Saturday and the line was too long. I waited about 15 minutes and the line didn’t move, so I left. I went back during the week about 4: 00 and the wait was much better. I got the smothered pork chops, mac&cheese, sweet potatoes and fried okra. My total was about 22.00 with a tip. The food was good and fixed to my likeness. The pork chops were a little dry in the middle. The gravy was really good and not to salty. I like a creamy mac&cheese and it was perfect to me. But if you like a super cheesy baked mac&cheese this one might not be for you.
I had the pleasure of meeting Juicy herself, very approachable, cares about your experience.this was my first visit, but definitely not my last! The food was really good as well!
I really enjoyed the fried chicken and smothered pork chops. All of the food and sides were good but it was a tad bit on the salty side even for soul food.
