Kathy's Korner reviews
18We were looking for a clean restroom stop and a quick sandwich. When we first entered the convenience store section, there was a young lady behind the counter and another standing across from her with a janitorial cart. Both ladies were on their phones and made no effort to greet us. We went into the restaurant and the counter gal gave no greeting until we said ‘hello! To her. She slightly smiled and asked what we would like. We ordered two grilled chicken sandwiches and two medium drinks. $25.00+ before tip. We went to dispense the peach sweet and it was empty. My husband noticed the lids on the three tea containers were all laying to the side of them. This left all three containers exposed to whatever could fly into them. After getting our sandwiches and heading down the road, we had hoped the grilled chicken would at least be good. Nope. We each received rubbery grilled chicken sandwiches. The saving grace was there was ample mayo to help. On the plus side, the restrooms were clean and the convenience area seemed well-kept. Will stop again but not for food.
Shrimp salad was the best and I'm from Las Vegas when I go back I will go get another one
This has to be the most well organized, well stocked, and cleanest gas station stops I ever stopped at. It's spotless and it's looks like a museum in how perfectly it's kept.
Good service, food is delicious and it's really a beautiful gas station. Can't believe they out did Buc-ees.
I always travel down I-10 but since the construction I’ve never paid attention to this restaurant/gas station. I went today and the food was amazing! The customer service was great and the place was spotless clean. There was a lady that worked there her name is Ana and she made feel welcomed. Thank you for having such a great staff!
The entire store was very clean, and the staff was friendly! Delicious food, we got burgers and they were fresh and hot. Service was fast. The bathrooms were clean as well. Will be returning the next time we are on this stretch of I-10 for sure, highly recommended
This is a memorable stop.love the beautiful limestone with metal roof, very upscale building. Restrooms always sparkle.fuel is usually local average price and pumps are kept nice. Love the interior country decor which reflects a Texas hill country theme topped off by a beautiful Canadian Goose greeting you as you come in the door.very appropriate given this is the edge of the winter flight path of the northern flocks of migrating geese.
Our favorite treat at Kathy's is the beautiful covered pavilion out back on a private lake.where they hold live music, serve crawfish, shrimp or bbq on Saturday nights depending on the season.you pay for food and drinks.but the entertainment is free to the public.even have a playground for small kids.it's a wonderful true country way for a family to enjoy a Saturday night out together.guess you can tell.we really like this place.
Great place, beautiful landscaping, awesome patio area and even a playground. All around amazing.
This was a fantastic discovery! Beautiful building, excellent food (I had the shrimp basket), great customer service, super clean bathrooms.what else could you possibly want when on a road trip. Thank you Kathy's Korner. Just amazing.
A must when coming home from San Antonio. So clean great customer service! Road construction is killing them.
Convenience store plus, fish market and restaurant with a camp site a few miles down the highway. The restaurant came highly recommend, so I was very disappointed to find that it and the fish market are close due to the construction on I10 west
The C store is well stocked, neat and clean
The clerk was very friendly and helpful. He was a real life saver at directing us back to the freeway access after making a stop at the store. I look forward to returning after the construction is completed and the restaurant reopens!
Great gas station right off of i-10. Has a great selection and friendly staff. The fountain drinks and coffee bar are clean and looked refreshing. The aisles were well stocked and inviting. The high ceiling made the room feel a lot bigger than it actually was. The beer seller in the corner looked huge! The bathrooms were clean just like the rest of the establishment. The restaurant is temporarily closed but should open when the highway construction is complete. They have plenty of gas pumps and a nice facade. A lot less crowded than Buc ees so if you ever want to skip the crowd on your next road trip stop here!
Great store and one of the best RV parks I've stayed at! They are so friendly and just happy to have you!
East bound I-10 has to make out of way turn around to get back on freeway due to construction. NOT easy off & right back on. Diesel is $5.19 not $4.61 like this ad says. Other than that it's clean.
Such a nice store! Very clean and organized, bathrooms were really nice and clean, and cashier was friendly. Store had a little bit of everything.
I love Kathy's Korner. My band Brown Sugar performs here every year for crawfish festival. I highly recommend it
Stopped in to check out the seafood market. Although the seafood area was unattended, there were 2 employees that didn't greet us or offer to help us with any purchases. My husband and I were the only two customers. Unfortunately, because of the lack of assistance, we left without making a purchase.
Resturant is closed. Difficult to access due to construction. Gas station and convenience store are openly but the resturant and fish market are closed. It's not clear if these will reopen after I10 construction is complete. Signs should be updated to show the resturant is closed.
The restaurant part is permanently closed, but even as a gas station, it kinda sucks. One size of drink cups (and I understand there's supply chain issues, but they didn't even have spots for bigger ones, so idk of it's that.), and just not a lot of variety in general. Be warned, if you go there, it's a NIGHTMARE getting back on I-10 east. And that doesn't go towards my rating. I understand it's the construction, and not their fault.
