Katy Trail Ice House, Dallas TX

Awesome place to hang, eat and drink! Service is always great! The fans and misting makes it a very comfortable patio, even in the Texas heat!

Great food! I was lucky that they had the barbecue available at 2 PM on a Saturday. Ordered the ribs, brisket, and the loaded fries, along with a couple of drinks. Great food all around. The ambiance was nice, the staff was friendly, and it was my first time at a place like the Katy Trail Ice House! Great experience and I definitely recommend it (and get there early, you might not be as lucky as me)

Awesome venue even in 100+ degree weather. Fun drinks, great atmosphere, and yummy food. Wait staff was awesome. Made our Saturday!

The food is legendarily bad. After we ate we looked around and noticed nobody else ordered food just beer and wine. So everyone else there already knew not to order the food. I think that’s such a great location it’s a shame the food is so bad

My friends & I frequent KTIH often & have been for years, but the last three or four times we’ve been in, we’ve had a not-so-great time with Kimmy (sp?). We gave her the benefit of the doubt the first couple of times she served us, but now it’s obvious she is just not as peachy as everyone else. On top of just not being very pleasant to us, we saw she was rude to some of the other staff & it really put a damper on the energy & vibe of the place. We’ll just be sure to ask for someone else in the times coming. Love KTIH! <3

Great place to go an relax, Lots of people bring their dog. Try to Brisket nachos, they are very good. They get very busy so you can get bad service becasue your waitress is busy. But otherwise great hang out spot and better class of customers.

Overpriced and underwhelming. We went for lunch on a Wednesday. We decided to both get a burger and split it with our daughter since kids meals are $10.95.

On the menu, a “cheeseburger” costs $15.95. When the check came, we were both charged $0.95 for cheese even though it was labeled as a cheeseburger and there was nothing showing that cheese was extra.

The burger tasted like bacon. Please be aware that the burger patty itself tasted like bacon. Neither of us ordered bacon and were both a little irritated that it tasted like bacon.

Best surprise of the meal was the fries. They were fresh and very good!

The staff is generally apathetic and often times rude. One staff member refused to take a picture of our group and our server was very snotty. The location is very convenient if you live off the trail but otherwise not a whole lot of appeal.

Pretty good food and great atmosphere. They get super busy here (especially during football and basketball season) so the service here can suffer because of that. All and all pretty good though.

The food, drink, and s service at the restaurant were great! But when we were leaving one of the vehicles from our group that had been left with VALET had been sent to the tow yard?

We had a phenomenal waitress tonight Ray ley great service and great food. One of our favorite places to hang out on katy trail and pets are always welcome. Love the margarita/sangria mix! Be careful they are strong.

The hosts who work the front are some of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. They have always been rude, but I recently brought my family here and they were exceptionally rude to my parents. That alone made me never want to come back. Otherwise the waiters/waitresses are usually nice, atmosphere is good vibes, and food is good.

Y’all still gotta do something about the people at the front tho.

Fries seem “rapid fried” where inside is very hard but the outside is crunchy. They were never like that in the past.

Michelob ultra bottle is $6.95. Good spot, but when you come here often it absolutely wears on you financially and poor service-wise.

What a great time. A group from my company reserved an area to have a going away get together for a coworker and it just could not have been more conducive for everyone to enjoy themselves. Even though it was a hot day, there are plenty of fans/misters to keep things comfortable. I love how tucked away the location is! You would never guess you're in the middle of uptown Dallas! There's bamboo greenery blocking all the big cityscape. There are trees everywhere so you're always in shade and everyone was walking around visiting with one another going from picnic table to picnic table. I only had a topo Chico so I can't comment on the food.

One of the best places in DFW to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. You forget you are in the middle of downtown. Food is great, atmosphere is great. Go, enjoy, and possibly bring your well mannered dog with you.

After I moved to the Dallas area I checked out this bar. It’s got some atmosphere. Lovely staff and amazing patrons all over. The door guy even remembered me the 2nd time I rolled in there. He said I saw you were here yesterday too. Welcomed me to the bar. Never happened to me before. Food is amazing & it’s perfect place to make new friends. I’ve been to the other Katy Trail Ice House in Plano but this one is def a must visit.

Food was either undercooked or had been sitting for a while.
The service was just bad. Our server never checked in on us so we constantly had to call for her. She only took our orders and never actually brought anything we ordered. Someone else would bring our orders whether it was drinks or food it was always a buss boy/kitchen helper.
Atmosphere is great and everyone is social and friendly.
On top of everything, our server had the audacity to confront me for the lack of a tip. I’m sorry but tip isn’t just given. I understand if you have a bad day but it doesn’t mean you serve poorly. You need to put on a face and do your job of serving. Flat out poor experience with this server. I wish I knew her name because I’d have a chat with management about her.
