Keeper's, Sugar Land TX

Best sushi i ever had they never disappoint me the quality of the food like no other restaurant and if you like sushi and didn’t come here you are missing out.

Busy restaurant, meaning difficult to maintain social distancing. Our server and other staff were masked, and the restaurant looked clean, but other visitors didn't seem to bother with masks, unfortunately. We were able to get a booth that was relatively sequestered, near an outside window. The service was fair, though slower (as I said, it was very busy, which to me means they were understaffed and that affected customer service). We ordered kid food for our daughters - in this case chicken "nuggets, " and fries accompanied the chicken. I sampled the chicken, which was surprisingly good. We ordered miso soup, two large sushi rolls and a platter. The restaurant had come highly recommended by two different sets of friends, which may have set our expectations of the Japanese part of the meal too high. The food was.good. Not amazing, neither the best ever nor even the best we've had in the Houston area. It was.very pricey. An unfortunate downside of living in Texas is the lack of excellence in Japanese and Indian foods, especially, and generally average quality and authenticity of non-American cuisine. <sigh>

If you are looking for a decent, family-friendly Japanese style restaurant in Missouri City, and price isn't an issue, we think you'll enjoy Keeper's. If you're willing to travel a bit to find superior sushi, then head to Houston. I'll not mention the restaurant by name, in this review.that would be rude. Just know there are options, if you're interested.

Wanted to give 3.5 stars but that wasn't an option.

My husband's salmon plate was decent, but sparse. He wished it came with soup & salad instead of just a nice-sized piece of salmon and a few vegetables.

I ordered Shrimp Tempura, Yellowtail, 2 Unagi, Seaweed salad, Agedashi Tofu and Spider hand roll. Ate all mine because it was from the happy hour appetizers menu where the portions are probably smaller.

The delicious tofu was a good portion for the price and I really enjoyed that! I felt the Spider roll looked puny and that the fried crab must have been tiny. If we return, I will be sure to order more food.

Teriyaki chicken is a joke, just grilled chicken covered with teriyaki sauce from the can and priced as a well done dish.

Arrived in. Hostess was looking around cluelessly for a bit before seating us and no one else was waiting to be seated. Was finally seated and wait over 20 minutes and no one had even came to take our drink order.

Excellent service is not matter if you come from you work, the food great and sushi incredible.

Helpful staff and nice food. They were great even if we didn't really know what to order. The wait staff took the time to help us make selections and it came out well. Then when he realized it was my daughter's birthday he brought it a special cake for her.

Great food, presentation, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend. I would have given 5 stars but they require customers to wear masks inside (because of that I chose to sit outside).

Nice clean restaurant with good atmosphere. They have happy hour on Sunday so I ordered lunch specials and large hot sake for $5.50 good deal! Although their food is on small portion, but taste really fresh.

No one should ever patronize this business. My husband and I got seated and the place wasn't exactly crazy, but we waited over 20 minutes and not a single person stopped by to even take our drinks. This is probably the worst managed restaurant in the area.

Always good food and great prices. If coming with friends you will definitely enjoy. I have been coming for the past 4 years & will continue to come!

Shaggy dog, Golden Gate, Nemo and Houston rolls. Gotta love it! Best sushi in Fort Bend county!

This a a cool spot in sugarland as the Sake is strong & appetizers are really good! One of my moms fav spots

The food was average but expensive. Manager was rule and entitlement. First time was ok because the waiter was very professional. Second time, the manager stare at you and talk to the waiter in front of your face to make you put away the food we brought, a drink and a small cup of popcorn chicken from outside because we were told to wait for 30 minutes but was call in 5 minutes later. 18$ for leftover meat with garlic

Food was delicious and our server was great. It was our first time and she was very helpful in recommending the favorite sushi. Our favorites were shaggy dog and Julie crunch.

Low grade fish with no flavor, too much sugar in everything. Wasabi and soy sauce taste diluted. It's telling when they have 30+ menu items that have too many ingredients and won't just offer simple rolls - none of their ingredients can stand on their own. Someone in my party ordered the Chilean Sea Bass on recommendation. They had marinated it until the flesh was dry, added a bunch of sugar, and it didn't even taste like fish or have the buttery texture of CSB anymore. Best thing I can say about it is that the bathrooms are well maintained and are more appealing than the food.
